Ancient Turquoise in the Southwest 

This is so interesting. Love to learn new things about turquoise.

I could listen to her talk about turquoise for hours.

That’s really interesting because there is a similar method of substituting pattern for colour in European heraldry as well.

The actual pattern mimics feathers, but I find it interesting that several kinds of ducks plumage is iridescent and appears blue green in color.
