Absolute classic Quo modern day gig. Now turn the clock back Mr Rock n Roll 30 years. Where all asking for it….Quo Live at Milton Keynes bowl 1984. Caroline, Roll over lay down, Backwater, Big fat mama, Roadhouse blues, 45hundred times & Bye bye Johnney…ect…Next review is a must 👍🎸
They sure were, I remember the massive queue stretching around the corner and up into the City Centre long before the doors opened at Carlisle Market Hall. Someone had a huge pair of speakers in the back of his van blasting out Quo Live. The air was buzzing with anticipation. Happy Daze.......
Saw them so many times in the 70s and 80s and they open every show with Caroline. Best good time live band ever. QUO LIVE was recorded in my home town of Glasgow at the Apollo and still my favourite live album of all the bands I love. Thin Lizzy Live and Dangerous and ACDC If You Want Blood a close joint 2nd. Great to see you rocking out to the music of my youth. Mystery Song bro. You gotta do Mystery Song. My favourite Quo song of all time. Respect from Scotland big fella 🙏👍😎
Very, Very, Very, NICE, I Love STATUS QUO, I Love Rock and Roll, I Love Mr. Rock and ROLLLLLLL, Congratulations on this reaction to the Status Quo show!!!!!🤘🤘🤘
RIP Rick. Takes me back to my youth, when I had 12 Gold Bars Vol II bought for my birthday and that started my Status Quo journey. They never grow old.
I love your reactions to the band I’ve loved since being a teenager in the 70’s Their gigs back then were one big rock and boogie party for 2 to 3 hours.
also I found more info about the band members for you all: Current members Francis Rossi - lead guitar, vocals (1962-present) Andy Bown - keyboards, rhythm guitar, harmonica, vocals (1981-present; additional musician during 1976-1981) John "Rhino" Edwards - bass, rhythm guitar, vocals (1985-present) Leon Cave - drums, percussion, backing vocals (2013-present) Richie Malone - rhythm guitar, vocals (2016-present) Former members Alan Lancaster - bass, vocals (1962-1985; reunion during 2013-2014; died 2021) Alan Key - drums, percussion (1962-1963) Jess Jaworski - keyboards (1962-1965; died 2014) John Coghlan - drums, percussion (1963-1981; reunion during 2013-2014) Roy Lynes - keyboards, vocals (1965-1970) Rick Parfitt - rhythm guitar, vocals (1967-2016; died 2016) Pete Kircher - drums, percussion, vocals (1981-1985) Jeff Rich - drums, percussion (1985-2000) Matt Letley - drums, percussion, vocals (2000-2013)
You get to hear, 'the drone', which is what's played at the beginning of every gig. It leads right into, 'Caroline', and sets the mood perfectly. 👌 Status Quo don't do sad songs. Every one is either up-beat and happy or reflective in some way. Their live stuff is always balls-out rock 'n' roll from start to finish.
I seen Status Quo live and I had a blast, but it was a shame they didn't play "In the Army Now" which I would of liked to watch live along with both parts of the Anniversary Waltz they done with other cover versions like Roy Orbison's/Everly Brothers Claudette
Francis was 65 in this gig, and Andy on was even older, saw them recently a day before Francis 75th birthday, one of their best gig in recent years that I have attended, first concert was in 1982 🎉🎉🎉
If you get a chance you might listen to The Quo playing "Gerdundula (Live 2004)". It isn't heavy, it isn't rock. it's just a good example of a happy band having a great time.
Yep the Quo are the greatest! Keep in mind that this concert is of the Quo when they are old and in their sixties. They were much better when they were young (back in the 1970's and 80's). And in this concert two of the original members, bass player Alan Lancaster and drummer John Coghlan, had left the band. All that is left here in this video is lead guitarist Francis Rossi and rhythm guitarist Rick Parfitt. Parfitt died a few years ago.
Really enjoyed that, at their peak no one could touch them. Spread the word dude, and check out older performances, because this, good though it is is far from their best 🤘
the lead guitarist is Frances Rossey the rhythm guitarist is Rick Parfit the bass player is John "Rhino" Edwards the pianist/other rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist is Andrew Brown the drummer is I think the 4th drummer the band had Leon Cave
I was at this gig. I loved it. Straight off of their Frantic Four reunion. So they still had a bit of the old school rock sound going as opposed to their more modern Quo sound. Was absolutely magic. You can see me boogying a few times in this video. Definitely during Big Fat Mama. 😂😂😂 I was so so drunk. My mates went to see Twisted Sister who were the band on before the Quo. I decided to use up the left over of the days beer tokens and stood at the bar more or less. 😂😂 Fuck! I love going quo’ing.
You should react to something from their psychedelic period. The old BBC Top of The pops video for Pictures of Matchstick men 1968 remastered is so cool. E en just for historical value! Please check it out you won’t regret it 😀

I don't know if you ever heard of the Band "Budgie" from Wales UK, 70's. If not check them out "Breaking all the house rules" it'll have you bouncing off the walls lol
This is NOT Status Quo! Status Quo is and forever will be, Alan Lancaster on bass, John Coughlin on drums, Rick Parfitt on rhythm guitar, and Francis Rossi on lead. End of story! I saw them live in the seventies in Holland! That is the real Status Quo!👍👌😏😉
@@MrRockNRollLive Please no more Quo after 1981, Fun Fun Fun was not good! Stick to pre 1981......and especially Ma Kelly's up to Blue for You Albums. You must do Slow Train and full length album version Mystery Song!!
Love this compilation of your reactions to the Download gig. As much as they were fantastic here, there are far more brilliant examples of them live before this. You really have to, even if you don't publish your reaction, watch the End Of the Road video from Milton Keynes. Absolutely stunning. Also need to check out and react to their Roadhouse medley from Live Alive Quo. This is probably the best version posted... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hPVsRp0vlUQ.htmlsi=7XYWOy4IWLksY3WR
