Facebook Marketplace is a minefield, or a dumpster fire, but I think I got lucky and I'm finally back on the road.
This 1999 Chevrolet Prizm LSI sedan was on sale for extremely cheap and after a few drives, I feel like I made the right choice. This is an introduction to my newest not-so-new car with all the important info along with a guided tour.

I just got a 97. Mfer leaks oil and has a check engine light. But I got her going now! Manual transmission thank lord. If you get a spare, hit your junkyard! Congrats man!

These were incredibly well-built cars with Toyota engines. Too bad it's an automatic. The manual transmissions for these were die hard. I had a 1994 Prizm, it outlasted so many of my friend's more expensive vehicles.

I've been warned about the maintenance on the automatic so I'm taking care of the fluid and filter next paycheck. So far it's been a blast to drive and hopefully I can keep it that way. Thanks for checking out the video!

@@chrisstevenswrites when you need parts, search under the Toyota category, some will be cheaper. Use AT 205 reseal after your oil changes, at this point it's likely burning oil from aged seals. When the car is off after a few hours, rub a paper towel in the exhaust pipe. If theres oil on it you'll know oil is getting thru, normal wear and tare. The A/C failure is likely from a bad switch, not the unit itself, check the fuse and relays. My profile photo is from when my Prizm rolled 200,000.
