9 November 1975, Captain of the Third Rank Valery Sablin, who wished to protest against the rampant corruption of Leonid Brezhnev, seized the soviet ship Storozhevoy and attempted to broadcast a nationwide address to the people of the USSR. In that address, he was going to say that socialism and the motherland were in danger by Brezhnev's corruption. He was eventually captured by the KGB and executed.
Honestly, i had no idea what this was all about and i was very confused reading the comments. I had heard of this song before and i thought it was just an 80s communist song.
This song isn't Sablin-related at all, and this video was posted on the anniversary of the October Revolution, but TNO Sablin is probably the only way most people have heard about it
German Eastern front morale was high until the very end. The soviets always had more losses despite being far superior in numbers and material. Germans were superior soldiers.
U guys know i was joking, you see i have studied soviet history for a self political analysis (i am a communist and was studying the Soviet's approach as a part of a big research i am doing), so yes i know that german morale was high until the very very end i know soviet losses were humongous due to strategic planning on the Soviet's part So yes, please guys learn when people are joking and when they aren't This is a video about a soviet song Of course 99% of the people here are joking Its not a documentary for me to be serious
Congratulations to the author of the music, Alexandra Nikolayevna Pakhmutova on her 94th birthday earlier this month!!! 🎉🥳 She's written music to a lot of iconic Soviet songs 💪❤️🚩🛠️👍
Be strong in the belief that life is wonderful. Be positive and believe that the Revolution will always win. - Valery Sablin's last letter to his son before his execution
"I VNOV' PRODOLZHAYETSYA BOY! I SERDTSU TREVOZHNO V GRUDI I LENIN TAKOY MOLODOY; I YUNYY - OKTYABR VPEREDI!" The chants rang out in the streets of Verkhneudinsk, in their hijacked radio towers, for the hope of a freer and more just Union. For just a moment, the fires of revolution felt inextinguishable, and just maybe, this very chorus may cry out once more, this time in Ulan-Ude.
@@socialistrepublicofvietnam1500 It was. It was banned for a year because it took inspiration from rock music. Then they unbanned it and it became the hit it deserved to be.
i’ve known this song for a long time and I honestly love it, I unironically use it as workout music because of the pure intensity of the song glory to Lenin and the former Soviet Union from England 🏴❤️🚩
@@sethfrisbie3957Its the 106th Anniversary of the October Revolution. It may confuse people since its November but it's because Russia at the time had not used the Gregorian Calender everyone uses. When the USSR converted to the Gregorian Calender, The 11 day difference led to the Anniversary being moved to November.
@@sethfrisbie3957 7th of November is anniversary of October communist revolution. At the time, Russian empire still used Julian calendar which is approximatly 14 days off the Gregorian, the modern one. So in Julian callender it was 25th of October, that's why it is October revolution

@@WadRass55 Before the revolution there was another calendar, but when it was changed and the dates became like in Europe, the date shifted. The revolution was on October 25, and according to the new style it turned out on November 7
