Chip is the best and a true gentlemen when I met him and he was down to earth and pure class. He was a special Education teacher which make him a real hero as well ! Thank you Chip God bless you
When all the boats went to turbines, I lost interest, my grandpa and I went to every thunderboat race in Seattle until then, everyone we NEVER missed!!! SO much fun, in the pits, talked to the drivers, everything, it was AWESOME!!!
I remember Chip in early 80’s racing in GP class on a Lauterbach gp 200 owned by Pat Ryan ( I might be wrong on previous ) coming down the stretch the rudder broke loose and Chip casually stepped on to the deck walked to the back to certify the damage 🤔 while still going 60 mph and abandon ship 😂maybe some 60 feet from shore, the boat landed some 50 feet in land never saw a cool dude like that
