How could anyone play more cleanly than Andres Segovia?

Ouvir este maravilhoso instrumento é impossível mesmo descrever com palavras seres humanos como SEGÓVIA e seu autor F. Sor. Deus nos salvou por Jesus cristo e não somente seu amor por nós com esta magnifica obra.

No one could play these slow and touching pieces as good as him.

Try Carles Trepat, a contemporary classical guitar player, there's his channel on RU-vid. I hope you will admire his skill.

I really love Segovias playing and the way he gives attention to every note. But I just heard Ida Prestis vivid rendition of the Andante Largo and that blew me away. Segovia is quoted for saying about Ida Presti when she was a teenager: "I can't teach her anything". - I think he really meant it.

Right, but Segovia's words would be more accurate if translated this way : There isn't anything one could teach her.

Played it many times but now realise my inadequacies . I doubt even Sor could believe his music could be interpretated and expressed thus.

Sanki başka bir aleme gidiyor insan, bu gitarı, bu eseri dinleyince... Birçok kişi gitar çalıyor ama, usta bir başka çalıyor.

I must say Segovias version strikes me a bit more than Prestis...but I love how crystal clear she plays.

Segovia could play anything better than anyone, before and after him.

S took liberties that aren't allowed anyone else - he'd never allowed it himself. That's OK supposedly, since he is/was the man he is/was, but have you heard Barrueco's take on the monumental 5/5 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-k_SePsTnazg.html
