It would have been right if he said short and spinny, right? Not that technicality matters, I think people go into sportscasting for their ability to excitedly constantly talk about a game. Since commentators need to improvise speech, you probably shouldn't expect textbook accuracy out of everything commentators say.

It was a late taken , short topspin , because of the placement the spin was very little and wang took it like it was a regular topspin and on top of that he ran backward because he thought the ball would go further. Lind has changed the rhythm of the game, which is a very good strategy for throwing aggressive players off.
