Fantastic song. It manages to be like good old synth wave while maintaining a distinct alien “Starwarsy” sound. This is exactly what I’d expect to hear in a sci-fi club.❤
This track encapsulates how the show boldly takes a different, unique approach to Star Wars and totally kills it. Both are perfect examples of how diverse the Star Wars galaxy is in terms of storytelling and thematic approaches; from it’s genesis it’s always somehow perfectly synthesized a ton of different genres, stories, and ideas, something that truly makes the galaxy ripe for narrative and thematic variation and one of the reasons it will always be exciting.
Holy Sh!t, Nicholas Britell is on roll with his music for Andor. He's now right up there alongside Kevin Kiner, Michael Giacchino, Ludwig Goransson, and Maestro John Williams. All of whom have given a triumphant score and a unique sound to the Star Wars universe. 🎼🎵👌
I forgot to also add Joel McNeely who composed the music for "Shadows Of The Empire", the 1990's SW multi-media project launched by Lucasfilm comprising of a novel, a comic book, a video game and the aforementioned soundtrack. It was supposed to also be a movie, but once George started working on the Prequels, the movie project was abandoned.
Couldn’t agree more. Truly Top notch. And don’t forget Mark Grinskey and Gordy Haab, the pair behind some of the stand out video game compositions in SWTOR, KOTOR, and Fallen Order! Many honourable mentions
As soon as I heard this tune in this episode I immediately thought this is the natural successor to the legendary cantina theme. Has Star Wars party vibe music written all over it.
My partner and I literally stared right at each other when this song first played in the show. It was so unexpected, but so instantly good. Love hearing what people do with it!
This show is so underrated. Everything about it is so amazing, of course there are some minor details that have issues but like for real this is the best show to come out since Mandalorian Season 1 (imo) I genuinely hope this series gets more viewers so it can be appreciated more.
Im surprised so many people didnt see what a banger of a tune this was at the beginning of episode 1 when cassian entered the bar and only talking about it from ep 7
I think it's a lot more noticeable here by the way they bring it in. And it fits the vibe those first Niamos glimpses a lot better than the dreary bar.
@@BMoore556 it was posted weeks ago. It's the song from the nightclub in the first few minutes of episode 1. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DSoOsLeBYx0.html
@@thescruffinator8830 thanks Yoda, I don't remember it probably because it wasn't at the front of the sound mix like it was in the recent episode. Glad I didn't find that vid, the key is different or they did a pitch shift causing the audio quality to be uhhh lackluster
I am enjoying Andor so much, along with Rouge One it is by far the best Star Wars content produced under Disney! This beat goes hard, when I heard it during the episode I knew I had to look it up!
Absolutely fucking amazing. I love when someone makes a cover of a song that isn't just turning it "epic", such a fresh take on an old concept (much like Andor itself)
This song is so cool. Radical, discordant, familiar and yet strange all at once. Perfectly fits the atmosphere of the episode/show. The music might be my favorite thing to come out of the post-Disney Star Wars shows.
Try comparing "Mirror" also by Nicholas Britell and "From Dust to the Beyond" by God Is An Astronaut. You can play them over top of each other and (almost) meld them into one song, especially if you change the volume where needed.
I love how the visualizer to me, tells me exactly how the show is, notes sprinkled with intentional detail for us to take in, and the layers of it all for us to be grounded by it. Just as one song only to set the vibe and aesthetics of Niamos itself, to me this song is the perfect example of how to compose a song that not only fits, but belongs in the show it is made for. even as a cover, this song does so much for the show than any other music in SW since the original and prequel trilogies.
August 2024 unfortunately but man if it tops Season 1 hands down will be the best Star Wars content. And just think how season 2 could elevate Rogue One since it leads right into it

@@Bastyxx227 I agree, but I think it's mainly because Jeremy was just tryying to make a good song, while the Andor composers were trying to make it fit as a background piece.
I was listening to this down in Myrtle Beach a few weeks ago. Weather was still unseasonably warm. Palm trees were swaying and I was in the 19th floor of my hotel. It fit. Haha
Still to this day love TRON, mainly because of what Daft punk did for that movie alone. This is something really similar. And on top of that a world-class cast, acting, writing, directing and cinematographically a piece of beauty!
Nicholas Britell has released more official musical themes from the show. There are now 34 pieces of incredible music from this amazing show. I got the whole playlist on...trapped between bobbing my head and sobbing as this soundtrack alternately gets me moving and hits me in the feels. I can't wait to see what other creators will do with all this! PS Oh yeah Mon Mothma now has her own theme!!! 👍👍👏
