Brasso said to B2, "The Daughters of Ferrix require your assistance." I didn't catch that the first watch, of course, but by then the Daughters (and apparently Brasso is a member of the men's auxilliary) knew about Maarva's recording.

-Val doesnt get a "cut" from the robbery. It all goes to the Rebellion. -Mosk is a real one. Syril doesnt deserve a homie like Mosk. -The scene with Saw and Luthen was great. Saw really only sees what is in front of him most of the time. He has been fighting for so long, he is kind of blind to a lot. Luthen is literally above it all, moving pieces. Pieces that have no idea what the big board actually looks like. He told Saw what the deal was the only way Saw would really understand. And Luthen hated what the choice was. Every time he made sure he mentioned Krieger's name. It was a cost he knew he had to pay, but didnt like it. -Luthen embarrassing the ISB cruiser was brilliant. The cruiser commander acted like a asshat cop, and ordered a stop and search for practice, and what he got was weeks in dry dock to repair his cruiser, and several dead pilots and a landing party blown up. All because the cruiser commander wanted to hassle the equivalent of a space Honda accord.

I assume she got a cut - she didn’t do it for nothing. Casa got a cut. I’m sure she didn’t let Cinta do it for nothing. They absolutely got paid. Mosk is a real one 😝 he is ride or die for Syril.

@@WatchwithMarcella when we first met Vel she did seem to balk at the premise that "Clem" was being paid, and she's a rich girl anyway so the money isn't an issue for her. Cinta has had her entire family slaughtered by storm troopers representing the Empire. She's in it to bring the Empire down. For those two, I can totally understand why pay wouldn't be an issue. Same with Nemik - his manifesto made his reasons clear. Taramyn used to be a trooper and would have been paid a living wage, so there's likely something in his rebellion that isn't motivated by money, but he was killed before that was fully explored. Gorn's distaste for the Empire makes sense as he lost the Aldhani woman he loved to them. The rebellion for him was not about a cut either. The only one that DOESN'T make sense to me, in terms of why they're doing what they're doing without pay, was Skeen. My head-canon is that he had always planned to screw them over somehow by taking the credits, but even that is flawed because why would he want that and go ahead with it BEFORE "Clem" joined - he couldn't fly the ship. Anyway, just food for thought. Andor does a good job of not telling you too much and allowing you to explore the complex human motivations behind why characters do what they do.

@@WatchwithMarcella Cassian was the only mercenary on the crew. hence the friction, the rest were true believers/soldiers or at least pretending to be. They probably would have gotten something (wages or a small cut) for their months of planning and preparation, but Cassian was definitely the only one to get offered any kind of serious money. And as we know now, Vel comes from money and Cinta is in it largely to get back at the people that killed her family.

Yay! You have sympathy for Cassian at last! It’s just so tragic that he was literally just a day too late to get that message through to Maarva. That she would be proud of him.. Then he looks out into the light over the sea, reflecting that beach scene in Rogue One… where his last words are “Your father would be proud of you”. So so sad. And poor little Bee! :(

We all miss Marva. B2's exchanges with Brasso are so sad. Another great reaction, can't wait for the finale! I love the mask change Vel effects when she switched from talking to Mon and alking to her niece.

I love Kleya, I wish her character got a little more attention. The way that Luthen uses the Kreegyr situation with Saw to both justify his own actions to himself, and to gain Saw's trust...brilliant. "Let's call it "War"," is such a great line. Fully expected Karn to bash his mother's brains in before heading out. The Imperial ship is a Cantwell-class Arrestor Cruiser, a rejected design from the original trilogy. It's named after it's designer, Colin Cantwell, who also designed other ships including the X-Wing, Y-Wing, TIE Fighter, Star Destroyer, Death Star, Millennium Falcon, Sandcrawler... It wasn't lightsabers, it was particle beams I believe. Andor at the end, perfect acting :(

@@WatchwithMarcellaIt’s not going to solve the problem even if Vel gives her 400,000… the problem is the gap in the ledger which is unexplained. Simply making a deposit now will not cover the fact that it went missing in the first place or explain where it went. That’s why she needs to think of a good explanation for the withdrawal , and the help of a banker of a very special kind for any further transactions of this nature . As you’ve now seen the finale, no spoiler - throwing her husband under the bus with the gambling accusation solves problem number one and marrying off her daughter addresses problem number two.

Then see that one "Vel Sartha" gave you a cheque for that amount, despite the fact, apparently, she doesn't have that kind of money Which could put her, and your own cousin, in very serious danger? AND, The Rebellion! No way - this isn't an option for Vel

This episode shows some of the best things about the series which is it shows smart people doing the smartest thing given the situation they are in. When Luthen is being held by the tractor beam he cranks his engines. Why? Because he gets the empire to do the logical thing which is to crank up the tractor beam. This is smart because the higher the tractor beam the more force the metal spikes he launches from the rear of the ship have and thus do more damage. It also shows Dedra initiating a smart plan, allowing the funeral. They loosen the restrictions on the air space to let Andor back in so he can get into their trap. It is more interesting to have smart people going up against each other than for one side to lose because they do dumb stuff.

This show is the best cause not only shows that, but also shows an inteligent Empire, and not a bunch of dumbasses like in Obi Wan Kenobi, where everyone is dumb and stupid, including Vader that if they all know Obi Wan has Leia, well they should know he needed to take her back to Alderaan, why not do the same he did in ESB going to Bespin first to catch Leia and Han? No, cause that is being smart. Only the women are the smart and the best ones, including a spoiled 10 years old that is better than the adults.

Luthern brought Saw in to share the burden. If Saw would agree to burn Kreegyr, then Luthern didn't have to carry the burden of the decision by himself. I sorta didn't like Luthern's escape from the Empire ship. It was rather too flashy for what we know about Luthern. It was neat and maybe gave us a clue about Luthern's background, but it was too flashy.

I didn't really see it that way. I think he was caught off guard by Saw changing his mind and wasn't willing to burn another entire rebel group. He's definitely ruthless, but I do think we got to see a key difference between him and say the empire. Saw ultimately agreed with the decision I think in large part because Luthen was persuasive, but also he showed actual vulnerability. I don't know who the real Luthen is (if there is one), but I think he's closer to the guy who knows he's damned for what he does and still struggles with that then he is to the emotionless manipulator he sometimes plays.

@@LarsG08 My point is that Luthern still has conscience enough to want a second opinion. If he couldn't convince Saw that it was better to let Kreegyr burn, he might still have warned Kreegyr away.
