As a kid in Cologne, I often listened to this song translated into German which said: Let me go the world is so big and beautiful and I will I return as a rich man and marry you.. At age 18 I did leave Cologne, where by the way Jacob Offenbach was born and lived before moving to Paris and back to Cologne and back to Paris. Until today this song will not get out of my head, and no, I never returned as a financially rich man, but it made me live and stay in over 50 countries, which made me RICH with memories❤😊. I am now into 81 and who knows how many more😂😂

Den bästa versionen av Barcarolle. André Rieu är skicklig på att moderera alla stämmor och musik så att allt blir harmoniskt att lyssna på. En detalj är att sopranen inte överröstar messosopranen som annars är vanligt i andra versioner. Ett mycket njutbart musikstycke som kan avlyssnas om och om igen!👍👍👍👍

Kann die anderen Kommentare nicht lesen, abwer was kann man denn anderes sagen als Danke Andre´ Rieu - Er liefert mit seinem Orchester, seinen brillianten Sängern und seinen unendlich schönen Melodien immer wieder ein unvergleichlich schönes Musikerlebnis für jeden der Musik liebt, versteht und begreift. Alle anderen Quatschköpfe die hier kommentieren soll der Teufel holen.

Ho scoperto Andre Rieu in California 14 anni fa e ancora ricordo queste note mentre viaggiavo tra agrumeti e vigneti infiniti con un sole bellissimo. E questo concerto fatto a Cortona fu la mia colonna sonora del momento che tutt’oggi mi accompagna

Este Musico Andre RIEU es muy BUENO porque PROMOCIONA la Musica Clasica para los grandes sectores POPULARES, a fin de que les sea ENTENDIBLE... es este el gran merito de Andre. Esta breve pieza es de una OPERA muy FAMOSA de Offencach y veo que lo hizo MUY BIEN. Les recomiendo ver ahora este mismo TEMA, interpretado por la rusa Anna Netrebko y alemana Elina Garanka. es a mi criterio... la mejor.

Mi tambien estoy llorando tengo 80 y cuando tube 10 añ0s escuche la barcarola y soñe el dia del juicio (medolia Cristiana) con voces soprano. Y solamente en mi pueblo jaya de Etla Oaxaca gustó a mi familia em otros lugares rechasaban esta música era un grupo protestante de north America quienes traian una bitrola.
