I met Andrae when I was just 15, I’m now 74.Disciples sang at the Church Of The Redeemer in Baldwin Park, Ca. In November 1970 my fiancé received Christ as her personal Savior. We just celebrated our 52nd wedding anniversary. To God be the Glory!

I used to sneak into my room and listen to Andrae Crouch and the Disciples cuz my parents didn't like gospel music much! I loved Andrae, Mighty Clouds of Joy, Walter Hawkins, etc. I was not your average white boy in small-town Oregon. But so grateful for Andrae!!! I regret not seeing him live!!! Ugh!!! He passed into heaven on my birthday, January 8, 2015. I was sitting in the airport in NZ, traveling with YWAM at the time. Sorrow mixed with great joy that he had faithfully proclaimed the good news of Jesus! This Live project is awesome!! Wow! Cranking it up in my studio!!!

When I was a little girl my mom would play andrae crouch he was the first and only gospel artist that made you believe how beautiful Jesus love us he made it easier for us to understand god love he has for us I'm 54 still love his music I played the mess out that album still is my favorite song livin this kind of life and my mom loved ooh it is Jesus when my mom passed away in 2008 we sung that song at her funeral. I love this version here of living this kind of life especially when they got toward the end they took that song to the next level thank you Andre in heaven for inspiring me to love Jesus you were the first gospel artist to take it to another level now Fred Hammond and them follow behind you with that kind of style 🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️

Love your story, Sis. I grew up on his music too. My eldest brother would buy his albums and play it on his record player, and me and my other brothers would gather around and bang on the trashcan in his room, and sing. Marvelous. Thank you so much for sharing. I had never heard of him (b-4 five days ago) or his music until joining choir at church. i haven't been able to stop listening. And in the middle of the song, "Nobody Like Jesus"... heals my soul diseases, the pain in my back was taken away. God heals thru sound and spirit. I didn't ask, yet it was "given unto me"! I know Andraé Crouch is taking care of buz in heaven like nothing has changed. Beautiful. I saw Andrae Crouch in a vision , then I saw him at a Dr. Martin Luther King parade . King Park in California, he was sitting on a concrete step. I just stared at him, I am the type of person I get excited normally I would have yelled it all over the park. I did say anything to him , I respect people private time. He was sitting in a lowly position. I stared in awe , I said under my breath that Andrea Crouch. After that he went home to be with the Lord.🎉🎉🎉

Wow! So glad to discover this video. He's my favorite Gospel artist, and although he canceled his show at The Circle Star Theater in San Carlos CA, I was fortunate to finally see him towards the end of his life at Yoshi's in Oakland, and it was wonderful. I have other favorite musicians, but he's the only one whose music carries with it the love and comfort of God, so it's very special for that reason.

These songs brought back so many memories during my days of pain, hardship, lonesomeness, and depression in the 80's. Tears of joy, hope, and comfort are what I experience today just hearing them once again. He was a writer for the ages. RIP
