"She says that Sellings a Sin, well so is telling young men, that sellings a Sin, without offering a new way to win" Best verse in hip hop hands down imo
Jason Voss Really "I might have more fans than the average man but not enough loot to last me to the end of the week, I live by the beat like you like check to check, if it don't move your feet then I don't eat so we like neck to neck."
Who is she?? Wisdom?? 🤔 Ecclesiasticus 27:2 As a nail sticketh fast between the joinings of the stones; so doth sin stick close between buying and selling
@@hegotnoenemies Kdot has songs like this.... He doesn't have the same texture of soul. Kendrick is a fighter, Ab soul is a free soul like Andre 3000.
Honestly this is the best 3stack verse ever. "How's he god if he lets lucifer let loose on us, that noose on us won't loosen up, but loose enough to juice us up." Chill. You not ready.
If it was up to me, I'd have mixtapes with just 3000's verse from other people's track. I listen to a lot of unnecessary artists, just trying to get to his verses lol
Give me Andre and Black Thought on 17 tracks at least, with the The Roots supplying the production. Name it "3000 Shades Of Black" and watch hip-hop history unfold.
"That selling is a sin, if you don’t offer new ways to win A dolphin gon shake his fin, regardless if he gets in Or out of water, most important thing for him is to swim" Man, 3k is one of the greatest
@Swaggy1022 telling someone to not sell is akin to telling a dolphin to not shake its fin: if it's all they can do to move forward, and you aren't providing any alternatives, then you're essentially telling them to stop trying to survive
I also just realized that both Andre 3000 and Jay Electronica have had children with Erykah Badu.. The father of her other child is west coast's D.O.C....
Summer '88, or was it '89 Or was it wintertime, ah, never mind I'm in my room, boomin' Drawin' LL Cool J album covers with crayolas on construction paper I'm trying to fuck my neighbor, I'm tryna hook my waves up I'm tryna pull my grades up, to get them saddle lace ups Before Le Marc was Jacob, before them girls wore makeup Before my voice would break up, before we'd tour them shake clubs Before my mama wake up, before my palms would cake up Before they tell me they love me and we'll never breakup Before the time she makes love, to someone that I thought was, my homeboy But boy, was I wrong, now I don't budge, don't want much, just a roof and porch And a Porsche, and a horse and unfor-tunately But of course an assort-ment of tor-ches that scor-ches the skin, when they enter Intru-ders, whose tutors did a lousy job How's he god if he lets Lucifer let loose on us That noose on us won't loosen up but loose enough to juice us up Make us think we do so much and do it big Like they don't let us win, I can't pretend But I do admit it, it feel good when the hood pseudo-celebrate Hence why every time we dine we eat until our belly aches Then go grab the finest wine and drink it like we know which grape and which region it came from As if we can name em, hint hint, it ain't um Welch's Hell just fill three thousand more degrees cooler Y'all can't measure my worth But when you try, you'll need a ruler made by all the Greek gods Because the odds have always been stacked against me when back's against the wall I feel right at home, y'all sitting right at home All Kelly green with envy while I'm jelly beans descending Into the palm of a child, looks up at mama and smiles With such a devilish grin, like "where the hell have you been" She yelling that selling's a sin, well so is telling young men That selling is a sin, if you don't offer new ways to win A dolphin gon' shake his fin, regardless if he gets in Or out of water, most important thing for him is to swim And Flipper didn't hold his nose, so why shall I hold my tongue? (I miss the days of old, when one could hold his girl on his arm) And not set off these alarms, when cameras snap snap snap snap Return fire, pa-pa-pa, pa, pa-pa, pa, pa, pa They'll learn why, near privacy, so essential They won't make no laws, I break their laws till they see out our window I take the fall to make them all treat human kind more gentle Forsake them all, I hate them all, don't like em don't pretend to Yea something tells me, we ain't in Kansas anymore All that shit that used to be cool ain't cool anymore All the women you been pursuing, now they want more And they deserve it all, don't settle for what ain't you When 16 ain't enough, when 16 ain't enough, ooh yeah, oh yeah When 16 ain't enough, when 16 ain't enough, ooh (When 16 ain't enough) yeah, oh yeah (When 16 ain't enough) Does your mama know you see me, does she know you're freaky? Does she ever wonder if it's 'bout ya I am speaking? Do you ever ponder where I'm at when you get sleepy? How the hell I'm gonna tell the youth don't be me? Yea, ha ha Does your daddy think you perfect, does he know for certain? Does he know how you act when you pull back all them curtains? Do he think I'm 2Pac 'cause I'm black and put them works in? Does he know his daughter might have caught a real merman yeah?
The ironic thing about this is that even though we all enjoy the absence of Rick Ross, I am sure 3 Stacks wouldn't like the track being altered to focus spotlight entirely on him. Such a humble, talented man.
Mannn been listing to this song for years I can spend hours picking apart the verse "She's yelling sellings a sin. But so is telling young men . That selling is a sin if you don't offer a new way to win. A dolphin gone shake his fin Regardless if he is in, or out of water most important thing for him is to swim." -3000
+KattdaddyTV Absolutely! And that's not Kendrick's only influence. That's what makes Kendrick Lamar so great...you can tell that he is a STUDENT of the game and a student of his peers. I got kendrick and andre together in my top 5.
+Dorian Snider Kendrick also has a song with Jhene Aiko, where he employs a very Andre-esque voice and cadence. I would say the 3stacks influence on Kendrick, is not up for debate, anything else is just denial or ignorance lol.
I would pay good money (at least 10x the price of regular albums) for an Andre 3000 solo or OutKast reunion album... 3stacks is easily one of the best MCs of all time.
Ale Barajas You got it twisted son...Biggie is way more lyrical than Andre. His Flow is untouchable, his Rhymes are impenetrable, his Story-telling is unmatchable.
Kendrick Lamar and Andre 3000 need to do some songs together. That story would be great on record. I call it a story because they will leave you thinking you just lived a story told by them. The way rap should be.
The most gravity filled line. "She yelling that selling’s a sin, well so is telling young men That selling is a sin, if you don’t offer new ways to win." -Andre 3000
"Like where the hell have you been? She's yelling "sellings a sin!" well so is telling young men that selling is a sin if you don't offer new ways to win A Dolphin goin shake his fin, Regardless if he gets in Or out of water most important thing for him is to swim" Will never not give me chills.
Can't believe I had never heard this before. This is going to be on replay for next few months. It's that good. I am a visual artist and I think to myself, how does an artist not musically inclined accomplish the same impact as musicians do. This is incredible
Give me Kendrick Lamar, J Cole & Andre 3000 on this song & it would be indescribable. Beyond classic. I do not understand how this song didn't win an award or is not regarded as one of the greatest songs in hip hop (atleast in the past 15 years). If it wasnt for Rick Ross verse this song would be bigger, just keepin it 100. Thanks for Rick Ross beat selection tho.
yo rick ross is the beat selectin-ist nigga in the game. he should be a beat selecting manager for Nas. woth that being said, I would add a couple to your already nice list. lemme throw king los, phonte, and blackthought on the beat too. king los just to see how he would attack it. phonte because he is Drakes styles parent, and blackthought just cause the gotdamn speakers would blow up with him n 3k on track
I've been having these verses on repeat daily. I couldn't imagine that I would feel the same awe I've felt from listening to a rap song since hearing Nas' One love a couple of years ago. Very grateful for discovering this gem.
Am I the only one that listens to Andre Benjamin and wish that everybody on earths mind was as deep as everyone here listening so that they can actually appreciate one of the biggest gifts the rap game ever put under our Christmas tree. Has been my fav rapper since I was in HS
My fucking God man ........ my soul floated from 4:30 - 5:05 in my opinion this nigga 3stacks the goat man this nigga ability is so far beyond his peers. You get truth insight melody vulnerability and vision all in one verse from this Nigga no other can compact raw emotions on a record like this man ... he really the most unique well rounded rapper of all time. Thank you 3000
I agree but 3000 is done. He just likes to do cameos. Moved to Dallas last year to be there for Seven's grad year, his son with Erykah Badu. Well, that's his only child.
This, to me is the most overlooked verse in history. People talk about KDot, Black Thought, Loaded Lux, Jay Electronica etc. but this was a masterclass.
My god... Can you imagine a diss track from 3 Stacks? Record his verse 17 times since 16 ain't enought, then release it as Andre's only solo project. Guaranteed platinum!
I've known for 2 and a half decades that Andre Benjamin was one of the coldest to ever do it, then I heard this shit....He ascended to a new plane of existence with this one.
