Andre the Giant helped put WWE on the map and make pro wrestling part of the mainstream! But when was his debut in the company, and when did he have his last match? Let's find out.
The very first wrestler I ever saw on TV was Andre and Alex Smirnoff on WWF television. I was 7 years old and I was hooked into wrestling. He was the most gracious man I ever met 3 years later as I saw him in person. This man was not only "larger than life" in the ring, but more so out of the ring as being the true gentleman everyone claimed he was. I saw some of the last matches on RU-vid in Japan as he was a literal shell of his former self, which was an utter travesty. Rest in Peace and power for the greatest wrestling legend EVER!!!
The greatest giant that was billed 7 foot+ in wrestling history! Nobody comes close, I wish I was alive to have seen Andre's time on top. Andre was THE ATTRACTION anywhere he went.
I remember my late uncle taking me to a WWE show in San Francisco when I was 5 in 1986 and seeing Andre in real life ... He felt like a real life giant to 5 year old me. It's strange seeing how much mobility he had in his early career vs the mobility in the mid 80's
It's sad to see how poor Andre's mobility was in his last match. If he was born today then there would have been treatments he could have received in his young adulthood that would have stopped his uncontrolled growth and prevented his early death.
@@KHayes666yeah and that's why Big Show lives a happy and healthy life today unlike Andre who refused to save himself fearing he would lose his wrestling career or perhaps he couldn't take anymore and wanted to die and be in peace
Honestly I just always wish to know how Andre the giant’s body would just literally keep on growing everyday and would never stop at all whatsoever. And which he probably never knew himself. And the sad thing is how he even had already knew that he wouldn’t have lived very long then what he did. And he was only 46 that’s just kinda an shame honestly. And besides there will never be another Andre the giant. Like him again. So long big man. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Let's face it. Andre the Giant was the final boss of WWF/WWE in the 80s. Only few men fought him(and beat him) such as Hulk Hogan. He was the one created the WWE Hall of Fame after his death and him as the sole inductee and his legacy lives on with future giants like the Big Show. R.I.P. to the original Giant and Legend. ♥️
One of the most iconic wrestlers of all time.. We had characters who placed fear for the viewers on the lead up to matches… funny watching Andre not being able to control himself n jump in to save Haku LOL
Ok just to let you know this is not because of copyright by WWE because if it was we would have seen the old intro you would have heard the old music for bell to Bell
For the Andre battle royals memorial they should make that little gold statue life size of him and have him just standing there towering over the competitors
