"We have decided to dedicate our lives to beauty, creativity and the pursuit of happiness" say Andrea Bartoli and Florinda Saieva, the founders of the Farm Cultural Park in Favara.
The project was fueled by anger generated by a tragic event: on 23 January 2010 a building in the historic center collapsed, taking the lives of two children. It didn’t leave the community of Favara indifferent, and it pushed the founders of the Farm Cultural Park to open two years in advance.
The initiative took off with the vision of recovering the historic center of Favara and ended up transforming it into the second most popular tourist attraction in the province of Agrigento. Today it is a huge catalyst of events, initiatives and projects, all aimed at territorial integration and development. All this has made Favara a major cultural spot attracting people from all over Italy. In addition, Farm Cultural Park offers educational opportunities such as Prime Minister (a school of politics for girls) or projects with the school of architecture.
The activities of the Farm Cultural Park contribute to the achievement of Goal 4 of the 2030 Agenda: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
