I was at work when I discovered this song. My husband was in the hospital with leukemia and he was losing the battle. I cried like a baby. 22 years later I still cry. I still talk to my husband a lot because I believe he can hear. Our bodies die but our spirit lives on.

The world's best soprano meets the best tenor. What could go wrong? Nothing. This is absolute perfection.

This song was played at my son's funeral, he was 32 and his name, Martin. I learnt the lyrics of this beautiful music by heart, I hope that my darling son listens wherever he is, knowing him, he's probably fishing somewhere. Love you son, till we meet again xxx

As a 37 year old "young" man, I have no shame in saying that this song sends absolute chills down my spine; unspeakably beautiful and Andrea and Sarah's voices are just heavenly.

Everyone is here saying they played this wonderful song at funerals- I played this when I walked down the aisle to marry my true love. The man that loved me so purely for who I am. I had a childhood of trauma and this was cathartic for me. I said goodbye to all of that and hello to my future. It’s been 15 years married now and this is my rebirth song.

I was a young dresser working on Phantom of the Opera when it opened in 1987, and I was just 17. Sarah Brightman used to give me a beautiful smile as she waited to go on stage at the start of the show. I've only just realised writing this that I was the last person she was with before starting her performance every night. And she always gave me a beautiful long smile. She never came over to me, and I never went over to her, and neither of us ever said a single word. She just smiled forever and then went on stage. I will never forget your smiles. Thank you, Sarah. My wife is 8 months pregnant and today while driving she was in a terrible head-on collision. Her car was pushed 15 meters while she was inside. She was transferred from the driver's seat to the passenger seat. I thank God that she survived without any injuries except the swelling. After checking, the baby is 100% okay. God is great

My Mum shared this song to her Facebook page on October 26th 2022. She died very suddenly the next day aged 68, leaving me and my family devastated and just bereft. Thank you for everything you did for me Mum. Thank you for giving me a chance at life. Love Always, your eldest Son.x

The first time I heard this was in 1999, when I was locked up in jail. It was on a PBS special. It was a beautiful thing to hear, in a place full of ugliness and unwanted noise. Hearing it touched me deeply. And it has stayed with me all these years later. Today my life is drastically different. Growth and the passage of time have rendered a responsible middle-aged man. I wonder if hearing this, at that moment, had a small part in it? I like to think so. 😊
