The Music of the Night from Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical Phantom of the opera at the memorial concert for Lady Diana at the London Wembley Stadium. 1 July 2007
the tone not my fav tbh, yet he has a good voice... he didnt use the proper tone, but i can respect others have different ideas. I prefer the micheal crawford and gerard butler version but he did do well with the high notes (theyre the hard part to me)
I do listen to him all night and when I get up an most of the day he is so awesome to listen to even if I don’t know most of the words he is still awesome to hear
When i see Andrea i see my papa he sang just like him and my papa was also blind. He took care of me and my sister while my mom went to work.miss you pop.RIP.
"The Music of the Night" beautifully delivered by the master of song, Amdrea Bocelli. One of the greatest voices of our lifetime treating us to this lovely song created by Andrew Lloyd Webber. This is music at its finest.
And his English has improved tremendously since this version but I don't care what language he sings in.Its the sound of his magical voice that is awesome!!
Nobody on planet earth can soothe my soul like Andrea Bocelli. This voice is simply from Heaven. The man has a heart of gold and a voice and soul to match!
Bocelli has always had an amazing talent to dive deep into the songs he sings and it really shows. I'm not sure if it's because of the blindness and I don't care. He's one the most passionate singers I know.
"Darkness stirs and wakes imagination." "Silently the senses abandon their defenses." I wonder if these words hold special meaning for him because he's blind.
Sings so well and beautifully even though he's not the phantom the music of the night classic music at its very best much love and respect and appreciation job well done you should be amazed and proud stay safe and warm out stay strong and healthy as well great job people you should be proud way to go very impressed !!! Joe
God took nothing away. I wish people would stop blaming/crediting God for something they can't understand. I'm just grateful we get to witness this man's gifts, of which his voice is but one.
A man one can only respect for his utility of his God given talent, especially considering his loss of sight. An absolute joy to listen to him singing a variety of songs.May he be blessed to give praise to God for his ability to delight millions of people across the globe. He has an exceptional voice..
Andrea Bocelli.
Thanks for your love and support all through this times, it’s been a wonderful feeling praying for my fans around the world. Though I rarely comment here on my RU-vid pages, I was attracted by the emotions in your comment. I’ll like we get along and stay in touch. Where are you streaming from.🧡🧡🧡
I saw Andrea in concert in Philly in Dec and he was phenomenal Still best singer I have ever heard even as he gets older.Just a very special human being😀❤️
Andrea is so talented in everything he does. His voice is sublime and so comforting to listen to. How he remembers all the words he has piled up in his brain - what a memory. You are amazing Andrea and thank you for sharing your life with us.
🌹Oh it’s so outstandingly lovely I even have goosebumps! You are such a wonderful 🌟Andrea this song and the amazingly beauty you sung it touches my heart and soul. What a honour to be listening to the beauty of your tenor voice, makes it a huge pleasure enjoying it too!🌟❣️🌟❣️🌟❣️🌟🌸🧚🦢🌸
The best of the best tenors. Greatly appreciate his contribution to our collective no matter what he sings and his sharing of his instrument / voice with us all.
Night-time sharpens, heightens each sensation Darkness stirs and wakes imagination Silently, the senses abandon their defenses Slowly, gently, night unfolds its splendor Grasp it, sense it, tremulous and tender Turn your face away from the garish light of day Turn your thoughts away from cold, unfeeling light And listen to the music of the night Close your eyes and surrender to your darkest dreams Purge your thoughts of the life you knew before Close your eyes, let your spirit start to soar The darkness of the music of the night Let your mind start a journey through a strange, new world Leave all thoughts of the life you knew before Let your soul take you where you long to be Only then can you belong to me Floating, falling, sweet intoxication Touch me, trust me, savor each sensation Let the dream begin, let your darker side give in To the power of the music that I write The power of the music of the night
❤ Andrea's voice. He's truly wonderful. And has little or no physical motions. Unusual for an opera singer. Just a powerful voice emanating from a body that's still. From 🇪🇹
The negativity comes from how people like the song but not how Andrea sings it it’s supposed to be slow seductive and mysterious not rushed it’s about passion not high notes and vocal range . Listen to how Michael Crawford and Gerald Butler sing it
@@Spontaneousanonymous000 300 was done 2 years after Phantom. GB just doesn't have a classic voice. Probably sounds great with his rock band, but he might not want to do a lot of showtunes. He did act the part well. AB is not acting the song at all. Maybe because he was concentrating so hard on the English lyrics. Still one of the best voices ever, regardless.
Verse 1] Nighttime sharpens, heightens each sensation Darkness stirs and wakes imagination Silently the senses abandon their defenses [Verse 2] Slowly, gently, night unfurls its splendor Grasp it, sense it, tremulous and tender Turn your face away from the garish light of day Turn your thoughts away from cold, unfeeling light And listen to the music of the night [Verse 3] Close your eyes and surrender to your darkest dreams Purge your thoughts of the life you knew before Close your eyes, let your spirit start to soar! And you'll live as you've never lived before [Verse 4] Softly, deftly, music shall surround you Feel it, hear it closing in around you Open up your mind, let your fantasies unwind In this darkness which you know you cannot fight The darkness of the music of the night [Verse 5] Let your mind start a journey to a strange new world Leave all thoughts of the world you knew before Let your soul take you where you long to be Only then can you belong to me [Verse 6] Floating, falling, sweet intoxication Touch me, trust me, savor each sensation Let the dream begin, let your darker side give in To the power of the music that I write The power of the music of the night [Outro] You alone can make my song take flight Help me make the music of the night
still can't understand how Gérard Butler blew all of these professional singers away with his incredible performance he sang with so much passion and feelings he more or less recreated the Opera.
@@edicurcan7190 Mr. Bocelli does a horrible rendition of this song. And while I am at it he is a second class opera singer and uses his condition to gain recognition and so called "great singer" which he is not. Sorry but all this comes from experts and not from me.
@@theodorecarter6601 You are missing the point. If a musical singer had been hired to play the Phantom in a movie, perhaps he could had been a good singer and a terrible actor as you claim. But that's not what happened, it's hypothetical. And in the Broadway musicals, usually the singers hired are fit for their role in the musicals, both acting and singing is good for that format. Now. There are other actors and GOOD singers, only to give you some examples: Hugh Jackman, Antonio Banderas, even Jim Carrey, and lots of actors and singers who could play the role.
I love him, I love his voice. It is always a pleasure to listen to him sing, simply wonderful, especially after a busy day of work, time to escape to sweet intoxication "his voice".
