I've been watching this lovely, talented young lady, for years..ive watched her, as a young girl, who became a beautiful teenager, then a mom. Thank you, Andrea, for your love of the kind of music, that crosses the boundary of all ages, and the kind of music, so masterfully shared with ME... an 85 year old widow. Each song, has some precious memory, of a time, place, or person. Best regards and multiple blessings, from me in Cape Town, South Africa

I stumbled across Joan Chamorro, Sant Andreu Jazz Band, and Andrea via a RU-vid recommendation last winter - bless the algortihm gods. This outfit and the fledged SA Jazz Band superstars have been inspiring me and bringing me hope for the world ever since. They are the MAIN music channel of my life.

Andrea Motis once described herself as "a trumpeter who sings" and said "I am not very good...I wouldn't pay to see me"...but over the years many thousands of people in countries all over the world have done just that. Now a very accomplished trumpet player and an experienced saxophonist and composer Ms Motis is also a popular singer. What she lacks in power and range she makes up for with perfect pitch, timing, musicality and charm. With help from her family, Joan Chamorro and others she has built a sterling career and is now in charge of her own destiny. The world is her oyster.

We should not forget to praise and to thank Joan Chamorro, a brilliant leader who fostered the development of Andrea and of so many gifted youngsters (whom I shall not name, lest I forget some…). And, as a guitarist, I also salute the brilliant Josep Traver, who appears in several segments of this wonderful video, and was a guide to Andrea's sister Carla, an accomplished guitarist.

Keen observation! Since I discovered, six years ago, this awesomely entertaining jazz renaissance I can’t get enough of it. Andrea Motis and the ever growing cast of youthful star performers, including the Sant Andreu Jazz Band and its offshoots, have indeed given new life and hope for jazz to continue. I pray Joan Chamorro, that wonderful pied piper of youthful jazz development keeps the classics playing. May he live long and prosper!

This is a sensational collection. And what's amazing is the vast collection of what is not included here. Also, what an international treasure she is. She truly is the goddess of jazz.. Thank you for this compendium of her music. Going to probably have to upgrade this every year. More than just a superb musician. The girl is a young Mozart having written many songs. Yet she is a down-to-earth approachable person. I've noticed that she's a muse. Everyone else seems to play Better when she's there.❤

I was so glad to see Eva Fernandez also…wow what a talent she is. Best SAJB member on the sax. Eva also has a beautiful singing voice too. The SAJB was at that time loaded with so many outstanding female singers/musicians. Andrea, Eva, Rita, Magali, Joana, and Alba A. were all top of the class.
