I still remember as it was yesterday. My mother and I went to one of his concerts back in the 80s. I was a little boy back then. During the concert I managed my way all the way up to the stage. Once I reached it, Andreas and his crew invited me on stage and he let me play his harp. What a magical moment for a little boy.
How lucky were the people who got to see this concert. I hope I get to see this guy in my lifetime. I got hooked in the 80s on a business trip to Dallas, TX. Apparently he had just performed a concert there and the store I was passing through was playing Caverna Magica. I asked the clerk "what is that", she told me of course and as soon as I got home I bought everything I could. I was so hooked by Down to the Moon I could barely sleep for a few days, it was in my head.
I didn't know about Mindy and her passing away before watching this video this afternoon. She was a pure and absolute musical force. Amazing. Rest In Peace.
My father used to play these songs every morning when he was dropping me off at primary. Fast forward a few years later. I drive to these songs to work 😂
First heard him while living in Switzerland in 1982 -- then moved back to California in 1989 and saw him in concert in San José....his father was an organist in Zürich and we knew folks who stayed at their home...❤😊❤😊
Andreas, genio musical. Debemos escuchar más tu música. Ayuda a tus neuronas y activa tu encéfalo, generas serotonina.
Magnificent! I was fortunate enough to see Andreas and Friends live in Boston during his Dancing With The Lion tour. By far the most magical night of music and pure joy ever...
Saw that tour on a whim with the love of my life, was on a serious budget, the musical Gods smiled upon us & purchased 2 23rd row seats on the aisle towards middle of orchestra right (Andreas 's side)for $25.. which may have been face value individually .. scalped tix in front of the Wang CTR from a kind gentleman who was probably go to have to eat them.. sold out show.. what luck, parked illegally and didn't get towed.. a magical night with the prettiest girl there.. had champagne @ intermission and made it back to the Berkshire's that night with a glorious musical memory ✨✨🦁🦁🥂🥂
WHAT an amazing performance by all 4 of these talented musicians. I still watch this on a regular basis. The problem is, it makes TERRIBLE background music while I'm working. It is SO distractingly amazing.
Transending music that crawls inside you and lifts you to connect to upper realms of melodic vibration. A musical journey that gives your imagination the wheel.
Absolutely - the most talented musician in my life-time. I have been listening to Andreas since the mid eighties. I hope (and pray) that on the latest 2020 concert tour, Andreas & Friends will be coming to the USA. Superb performance!
My brother and I will attend the concert on 22.07.20 in Lucerne, Switzerland. More than 25 years we have been waiting for this. Luckily, life and luck set us just 60km away. Really excited.
Beyond the imagination of expression. Talk about true gifts. My emotions flow with this. I haven't seen so much talent with so much passion. Best way that I can put it. "Talent on loan from God".
I was there, totally mind blowing in every sense, though I've always been more into prog-rock, the sound of his harp does rock more than anything I ever imagined. Jaw-dropping band and my respect and good memories of Ms. Mindy Jostyn who left us fifteen years ago. I could luckily airplay Andreas' record a lot on radio here and I'm playing them again very soon at aamradio on-line.
My first introduction to Andreas' music was via Public Broadcasting radio in Boston, some time between 1978-1981, when I heard "Caverna Magica", and was totally transfixed. When he appeared live in Boston, I was lucky enough to attend his concert with a friend, and we actually got to meet him backstage afterward. He was so sweet and welcoming, it was like meeting an angel! We also went to his concert concurrently with the release of his album, "Down to the Moon". I could listen to his music forever!

Not familiar with this musician or instrument. Found this by accident. I could not put down my phone listening to this beautiful instrument! The other players were wonderful as well. Almost cried as this is the most emotional music I have ever heard! Bravo to all😀
Music of my soul...so grateful for this genius and the years I have enjoyed his music. Thank you a thousand times to Alex for making this concert available. Its the best there is!!!!
A partir de entonces no he podido abandonarlo.
I **LOVE** AW and friends! I've watched this particular video about 5 times in 4 days. It was an absolutely amazing performance, and I'm so glad it was captured on video. Did anyone notice what an incredible disaster "Quiet Observer" was? Andreas kept making mistakes from the beginning, and made a particularly bad chord run at 1:06:45. You can see everyone is trying to keep going, maintain focus, don't think about the mistake, fighting off mistakes all around, but sweaty palms strike again as 1:07:28, and the saxophonist has to hold a note for a couple extra beats while Andreas lands on the right note. Then the Sax player has a break and tries SO HARD to not laugh, he's frowning! It's so awesomely real and fabulous!
I've listened to and loved Andeas and friends for nearly 40 years. Live or recorded their music changes lives.glad I found this video. Thanks for compiling it
