In 1992 my father gave me a CD that he “thought I may enjoy”. Book of Roses. I was instantly obsessed and bought everything I could get my hands on by this amazing musician... playing in the style of Perfection. In my opinion, greatest living artist. I stumbled onto your magic in 1986 while in the US Navy. During a port visit in Italy, I went in search for home audio equipment at the base exchange store. The selections were impressive and easily overwhelming. A rep in that department offered to demonstrate some of them to me. He qued up a large reel of recorded music from his personal library. He cautioned me that the artist (you) might not be not be my cup of tea, but he could think of no better performer to demonstrate the strengths or weakness of the various components I was comparing. I'm sorry that I didn't know what songs he played, as there were no track names provided. What I'll never forget though was hand printed on the reel's box top in bold marker the single name - Vollenweider. It was to be my very step off the path of rock n roll, embarking on a passionate journey into World, Jazz, NewAge, and the like. I think I have in my collection all of your catalogue released in North America, and cherish them all. I did purchase an Onkyo receiver with pair Bose speakers that day back in Italy, but it would months later before finding any of your work in any music store near me. To this day, I will select tracks from your CDs to show off my current system to my friends. Seeing their amazement is just as satisfying as my own 40+ years ago. Your opening my eyes to music as emotion is a gift I'll never be able to repay... thank you... Mike z

I just cant imagine my life and memories without your music. Thanks from the bottom of my heart. I shared my last two months with my mother before he died due to a pancreas cáncer. This was only three months ago. During those last months we shared, every single day we played your music during lunch time and talk about everything, just my mother, my brother and I. Down to the moon will allways remind me of those moments. Thanks for that. I had the priviledge of meeting you two times! Once in Madrid during the "Eolian Minstrel" tour and another one in a concert in Cuenca (Spain) in wich I remember that ypu played Belladonna (among others) a song that I really love! both time you were very nice to me and funny :-)

I am so grateful to hear and see you again! I am power smiling! your music has always been the most magical. In the early to mid 1980s I attended one of your concerts in Miami Florida US.and remain enchanted to this day by the sounds and visual effects. On another silly note, I had the unexpected and rather embarrassing experience of looking for the ladies room and instead wandering into a meeting room where and your fellow performers were gathered before the performance. I doubt you recall a startled young woman running in and then backing quietly out of the room but I smile when I think about the time. Loving and listening to your music for so long has influenced my 30 year old son as well. He plays the concert grand harp so beautifully now and has added other stringed instruments through the years. Sometimes as I am falling asleep at night he will be playing and provides a soft entrance to an enchanted sleep. Thank you and your musicians for your heavenly and peaceful influence in the world. Dear Andreas Vollenweider; There is no possible way you could ever truly understand how your music has touched my life. I was first introduced to your music while incarcerated in a juvenile detention facility when I was 17 years old. In a place filled with unruly loud and obnoxious teenagers, your music often became my escape from the chaos that surrounded me. The first album I ever heard was Down To The Moon and to this day, it remains one of my favorites. As the years passed by, through many trials and tribulations, your music lifted me out of states of depression and even suicidal thoughts and carried me through each day that passed. Sometime between 2003 and 2005 I was blessed with the opportunity to attend a concert that you held at the Marin County Civic Auditorium in Marin County California. The concert was The Magical Journeys of Andreas Vollenweider. In fact, you signed a cd for me which unfortunately was later stollen from me leaving me heartbroken and dismayed at how someone could be so mean. Now, many years later as I am going through more trials and tribulations, again, your music has filled and lifted my soul and helped heal a lot of pain that I have been dealing with. In my humble opinion, there is no greater musician than you and your friends that play with you. Your Melodie’s touch every fiber of my soul and I am so incredibly grateful that there are musicians in the world like you. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Albums I own to date. I'm from Cleveland, Oh. I think it was 1986. I won tickets to your show from one of the local morning talk shows. It was their final show. My husband and I went and we were hooked. I started purchasing your albums. Our 3 daughters were hooked. In the mid 90's I returned to school. Your music was perfect for me to study to. It calmed me before exams. In the early 90s I had a six disc CD changer filled with your music(and Kitaro’s😉)It took me through years of highs and lows. The pleasure and comfort I get from your concerts is akin to the pleasure I get from playing with my son or looking at a beautiful sunset here in Key West. What can I say??? I live in one of the most beautiful areas in Europe (Snowdonia in North Wales) and I listen to Andreas every day to compliment the fantastic life I lead. Even during this unfortunate time I am comforted by the tunes and they help me to deal with this time. To have Andreas speaking with us ahead of, during and at the end of each mini-concert is simply wonderful, his beautiful music, coupled with his thoughts and altruistic comments, help to give me and no doubt all of his followers an extra smile to pass on to the next person......Fantastic....Well done Andreas, thank you for these concerts, thank you for sharing your music with (for me at least, the last 32 years) us....... I'm fan since 1990, when I listen on the radio the songs Down to the moon and Moon dance (i didn't know the title at that time and who was playing such beautiful song, but loved. 4 years later, elder brother of my friend brought from europe 2 Cds of someone who play Jazz with play harp, and gave it to me listen as was Jazz addict. What surprise, when I listen the two songs of first cd... sown to the moon and Moon dance, was the music I listened once 4 years ago..... I manage to buy most of the albuns available (Cds and DVDs). My best album is Caverna Magica with the songs Schajah Sarestosh and sena Stanjéna? And White winds... Cosmopoly.... that partnership was great Video Mother of peace live .
