Thank you for noting that. I might have bailed a some point. That play is truly special. I don't usually think of the word genius in baseball, which is much more about skill than creativity, but that play was dominant. Imaginative, brilliant, executed to perfection. Wow.
Wade Rittenberry we’re beyond happy with the Trade now. I absolutely loved Aybar but my goodness Simba is a freak. Hope Newcomb works out well for you guys. He’s a special talent on the mound ascwell
Angel's Fan here I know how lucky we are to have Andrelton " SIMBA " Simmons playing for the Halos. He's just so good and always makes his plays look so easy.
No I'm not yes I'm Carolita Ornelas on a diffrent channel and I have been an Angels fan since 1979 when Don Baylor became their first MVP. So don't talk smack because your Wrong !
Ok that play where he tags Segura: how did he lift his right leg JUST IN TIME while Segura tried to slide past him so neither got hurt. That was perfect timing and he still tagged him...
+bendsomemetal Ford andruw jones 10 time gold glove straight years simmons simba didi gregoriuos jurickson profar jonathan schoop all are from curacao ours players are know for the defense
Really?? It isn't even close. Simmons is the best defensive shortstop ever. He's better than an over-rated Ozzie Smith was. Simmons saves runs that never show up in the boxscores. I've seen him get outs during plays that no one else ever thought of getting. Simmons often turns balls that would be doubles with any other player into singles.
Among shortstops, Joe Tinker, Rabbit Maranville, Luis Aparicio, Mark Belanger, Ozzie Smith. Basically, about once a generation. All but Belanger are in the Hall of Fame and were recognized mostly for their fielding.
Brooks Robinson, Ivan Rodriguez, and Andruw Jones belong in the conversation somewhere but they played different positions. Apples to oranges comparisons.
