Ah yes those darn Anglo-Saxon rules, that's the problem. It's completely unrelated to the fact that pretty much all traditional cultures are, by definition, extremely conservative, and it certainly has nothing at all to do with outdated ***Judaeo-Christian*** dogma. Nope, these sorts of practices were entirely a product of "Anglo-Saxon" values. Absolutely ridiculous, and I say that as someone who is very Anglo-critical myself.
