This is a beautiful album. I’m just a little surprised by those saying this is lacking energy compared to his previous releases. I guess they didn’t read the memo about the title of album being Duality. Aka the dual personas of said talented artist being influenced by sounds of pop as well as electronic trance. His ‘dual’ persona. My question is… at what point is an artist limited in evolving himself and his sounds while staying true to what core of fans want? Every single music artist always goes through some trajectory without trying to repeat themselves constantly. I would think it would get boring churning out the same thing year after year. But that’s just me
What a genius! I saw you at Piknic Electronik in Montreal last month, and I was blown away by your set. There was a specific song that made me so emotional.. can’t wait to hear it on part 2.
I'm not saying this is bad but this album is suitable to some pop-channel but not Anjunabeats. Totally does not belong here where people expect euphoric tracks like Far from in love
Not his strongest effort. I really wanted to love it but there's just something missing. I keep going back to In My Last Life because there are so many catchy and emotional songs on it but Duality so far is just proving to be quite bland and forgettable. The only ones I sort of liked were Take Me Home and Matriarch. I listened to Duality from start to finish and just felt 'meh' about the whole thing. Shame.
