I love it when they harmonise! Watching Fiona's facial expressions in this, I think she would be a talented actor.

His pride, her anger, his confession, her skepticism, his honesty, her disbelief, his reassurance, her distrust, his final plea, her truth, but still their love unresolved because that’s love.

Fiona's voice just floors me. It's always a couple of seconds after she's finished singing that I realize I better start breathing again now.

We definitely need a full album with this duo... in love!

What's astonishing to me about this track is the fact that it really doesn't have anything resembling a chorus, doesn't adhere to or even acknowledge traditional pop music structure, and yet it still manages to be utterly memorable. I can't stop hearing it in my head.

She's always been good at delivering raw emotion in a charming way. And Andrew... there's that signature Bird-sound to everything he makes that I am fond of.

I really care for Fiona and seeing her just makes me happy... Such a beautiful soul.

I've always adored this song. Fiona apple first c.d was one of my first ever bought c.d's when I was about ten. Saved up for it, and instead of kids toys and other things I said I wanted to support her and buy her c.d. Found Andrew Bird much,much later, but I'm truly thankful for you both creating this. It means so much, and I always wondered what it would have sounded like if she worked on a song with a male artist and this is better than my imagination. The micro expressions and control you both have while performing is beyond amazing. ❤❤❤

I am addicted to this. I fell in love with Fiona around seven years ago and no other artist emotionally and creatively energizes me the way she does. I discovered the greatness of Andrew around five years ago and those two together - superb.

Came to Bird through Fiona. Went to see him based solely on the power of this video. Watched many of his videos online to get somewhat up to speed and was pretty much blown away by his live performance. Incredible band backing him up. Great chemistry in this video, due largely in part to the brilliance of director Philip Andelman, I would love to see them collaborate again. Bird is brilliant, and Fiona, well, she's in a class all her own.

I have had this song in my head for days and days. It's carrying over into dreamtime - I'm waking up singing it part-way through. Every inch of this song is heartfelt and cheeky and amazing. It's one of those songs that creeps up on you unexpectedly, until you are just compelled to listen to it on repeat. Two incredible artists.

I think this song mainly talks about being skeptic about how a sane, reasonable person could ever love someone that is frail and submerged by self-doubt. How, amongst all the people in the world, someone could choose a singular individual, and about how, at every single chance we have, we are able to argue against this possibility instead of appreciating this opportunity.

I'm so glad I dived back into Andrew Bird and found this gem. Such a brilliant encapsulation of the inner dialogue one goes through when in a relationship and/or between a partner when one is more of a romantic and the other is more pragmatic and logically minded. It's just artistically brilliant in every way.

I love this song, I've listened to it (and attempted to sing it, lol) a million times. Yet it still takes me on a trip every time, so much depth to this song and video. The production, their talent, and singing, especially, is absolutely phenomenal. The video adds a whole other amazing dynamic to this. Love it all ❤ I feel it.
