For what it's worth, there are plenty of us on the left who also find this "transgender trend" just as revolting as our brothers and sisters on the right. We may not get as much attention as our wayward youth, but we are here and we are doing what we can to push back against this ideology.

Gender ideology harmed and halted the acceptance of homosexuality around the world. It didn't just cause harm in the UK where it's widely accepted but it triggered a never before seen counter-reaction in countries where being gay didn't enjoy public support in the first place. I'm talking about countries like Central/Eastern Europe, Asia and others. In these countries, acceptance of gay rights have been severely damaged and suffered a setback.

🙋‍♂ Who decided that we need a MONTH to celebrate SEXUALITY of all things? Pride in our country or great achievers get one DAY, if they are lucky. This is the height of absurdity. 🙄

Activism is very lucrative, in a sane world Stonewall would have shut up shop after the gay marriage bill was passed and announced they had nothing left to campaign for. But if activism pays your bills, you'll find something to be an activist over, hence the embrace of these identities. Personally, being gay is such a minor part of my identity that it's below my ability to sing Noel Coward's finest. Turn it to Pride Day and Remembrance Month and it'll be fine by me.

No actually, I remember when as kids we could wear clothes with rainbows 🌈 on them and not be seen as anything other than kids, with no agenda about anything other than playing outside with our friends. I remember the years of struggle to be treated fairly under UK law, but those days are over now and I am convinced that a huge majority of L's and G's are simply getting on with life and do not need to go on marches or protests and for that I am thankful. These left wing extremists are fighting for something that is simply not needed anymore. Now I am aware of the wider implications of these various narratives, I am determined to fight against it and am at the same time very fearful that the left wing will win. I urge you all not to vote Labour ever again in your life. I left the party when Ed Milliband won the leadership, over 30 years of activism all gone, all nothing more than a few wistful regrets - Labour are at the heart of all this woke nonsense and view the people of the UK as lab rats for the dystopian nightmare they are addicted to.

I agree with everything you said. I remember when London Pride was a great, fun day out and was all about homosexual acceptance. I now boycott all of it and avoid shops which have the logo. Women rights are being trashed by the day and anyone who speaks out is labelled a bigot. Even sane trans are suffering at the hands of the TRA movement, please can we fast forward to post-woke now.

I was shocked to hear my gay friends talk about transpersons who they labelled crazy, unstable and refused to have much to do with. This was many years ago but nowadays I whole heartedly agree.

I've never felt any personal hostility to anyone based on their sexual orientation, but in recent years I have become a little fed-up about how ideology is being pushed into my face from media, employers and many other areas of my life. Basically I have gone from being fully accepting to being totally pissed-off. The sad thing is that it becomes hard for Mr average citizen to treat everyone as equal when I'm being told that there are special groups that need to constantly assert something that most of us accepted years ago. Dare I say, its a bit like ranting on about slavery - people who do that are really still slaves in their hearts. Time for us all to move on and just live together

True story, and this happened just this past Friday: I was out a two bars, then went to a third closer to home. I was sitting there and a girl asked if she could sit by and she started to talk. I told her what places I was at before going there, one of which happened to be a gay bar, and her eyes lit up and she said "Are you LGBTQ+? So am I!". I said, no, I don't do the alphabet thing, I'm just gay. Little did she know my political leanings as well!

That's terrible that the suggestion was made that lesbuans should be dating trans men, even I can see that and a comparison of fish to humans is ludicrous. The new "Pride" flag is a joke . Its like "everyone is special....except straight people". I come from a smallish town which is currently covered in banners and flags saying "Happy Pride Month" it used to be a week. I don't see why anyone needs to validate themselves for a month, you should be proud of yourself as a person every day, whoever you are.

I'm a gay man from the Netherlands and agree wholeheartedly with Doyle. That flag is a joke and the once LGB community has been highjacked by the alphabet people. I do not want anything to do with the pride movement. I'm not in the queer community. I consider 'queer' an insult. I oppose pride month and hate the so-called LGBTQIAA2+xyz community that supposedly took it over. I never celebrated pride, because I think it's nonsense. I just want equality. But even a night out with friends in cafes and bars specifically meant for gay men is not possible any more. Everywhere is this toxic ideology. I'm a gay man, but I'm not in the community. I am not against gays or lesbians, i don't support the LGBT activism who had became authoritarian and disrespectful, they are always saying that they were born this way, but they must remember that they were born because a straight relashionship. The illegality of Homosexuality in Scotland until 1980 wasn't because of Scotland. It was because Scotland didn't have the ability to make any laws in Scotland. UK Government left it illegal in Scotland. Scotland got it's limited power in 1997 and were proudly the first country in the UK to implement civil partnerships, then even more proudly, incorporate gay marriage into our society.

When people talk about gender, they're often referring to gender identity - a concept dreamed up by a failed psychologist pedophile. Sex refers to chromosomes and genitals. Gender identity refers to what you identify as. Gender refers to words. There are 2 sexes: male and female. There are 2 genders: masculine and feminine. A man is a male. A woman is a female. These are facts. They're not vague, flexible, or nuanced. This doesn’t take away anyone's right to live how they want to live, or with whomever they want to live with. Consenting adults can do what they like in private, as long as they're not harming anyone else. Let's stop trying to redefine words to suit an ideological narrative, please!

ANDREW: I live near Taunton, in Somerset, and we have an entire Local Government-funded NGO devoted to 'Pride'. As an old homosexual man, who has shared forty years with another, I have noticed there seems to be an absence of SEX in all of their pronouncements and publicity. The 'rainbow' is used, and sold, on the basis that 'children' can be involved: and this raises my hackles. Being homosexual is like being heterosexual: it is a SEXUALITY. So why is sex so absent from all the 'Pride' shenannigans? What are the celebrants 'proud' of? As you say, this all once had a point: but since the COMMUNISTS took over, it has lost all meaning.

It's interesting that the UK's attitude towards the LGBT communities was becoming more accepting and positive over the years, but then stalled and began going down gradually around 2019. It's almost as if something happened...
