I had that article when I was at my dad's movie theatre in NC and I still have that magazine. I love this group of actors each so talented. I followed them in every project that they did. 😁
"I thought it was a silly movie about a girl wanting to go to a dance and make a dress." = HILARIOUS!!!! I remember seeing Class in the theater and really enjoying it. I've always liked Andrew McCarthy. Looking forward to watching the documentary tomorrow. It should be fun.
He's appeared in Netflix "White Collar" episodes... he was hard "to place' IN MY MEMORY OF 'WHO'S WHO". Then I realized I've seen him frequently in past decade . Nice to have Andrew back on the screen... he's a good actor and seems sweet .
My two kids were in HS in the Brat Pack season! Today, I'm really interested in that era as presented in the "study" i am cruising through, learning more about them through Andrew's interviews about his documentary. Andrew is a fine historian/conversationalist/linguist! Thanks for telling me more about the 80's that "grew" my kids, which I failed to understand enough at the time. Turns out, my kids also grew up to be responsible, hard working independents, in spite of my worries about them as teens, exploring their own lives during the late 80's.! I love St. Elmo's Fire, watch it often.... Breakfast club, too! (I'm now a great grandmother ! ) 6/15/24
Okay, I just gotta ask: Why wasn’t Anthony Michael Hall, Mare Winningham,, James Spader, John Cusack, Mary Stuart Masterson, Michael J. Fox, Jennifer Grey, Kevin Bacon, Elizabeth McGovern, River Phoenix, Robert Downey, Jr., and Matthew Broderick not included/interviewed/considered part of the pack…??? Are only the actors in St. Elmo’s Fire, Breakfast Club and Pretty in Pink considered “The Brat Pack”…? I think Anthony Michael Hall should definitely have been remembered more, so funny-he went through a HUGE metamorphosis post Breakfast Club! Not saying, just saying, ‘cuz I lived it…❣️😌
Hall refused. Andrew himself was never mentioned in the original Brat Pack hit piece, he was mentioned by one of the subjects only. Ringwald was not mentioned. Only her picture. A few 80s podcasts are exposing the 'hoax' of Andrew taking such offense.
