That 2nd board give me such ideas and general thoughts. So inspired. My board is so close to the 1st it’s scary, but I’d toss it in the trash for the 2nd. Props to Sweetwater for pushing regular guys to the front. Pros have such a similar thing going, no offense it’s tried and trued, but no pro is showing with 2nd board... and that is more what is regular guys want and use.
As a gear freak I love any video showing things off. Guitar gods and rock stars rigs are amazing, but there is a need to see what players that gigs in day to day environments are using , how and why. Thank your for those videos .
Wow. I thought-that I was OCD? My board is extremely neat - too. I Agree 100% - about Not-having any Pedals sideways, and having everything super-neat. Nice tones. Enjoyed this.
Good job with darkening the blurry shot of the board evidencing the pedal used. The blurring of the Wampler Hot Wired (6:23) was WAY BETTER than what you did on the JHS pedal (2:52). When you don't blur as much, it forces the viewer's eye sight and, well, not very comfortable! Thank you so much for hearing me out in your previous episode and well done with this episode!
It is cool to see Andrew doing a video. I have spoke with him several times, as he is my sales engineer at Sweetwater. He is a good guy to work with! It also nice to see that he shares the Rivera love, just like I do. I wasn't aware he was a Rivera fan 👍
Wait till you discover the Tech 21 Sansamp pedals. Once I put the Tech 21 Blonde on my board, I never went back to using an amp live. And sound guys love it!
would love to see you cover some heavy dudes here, like one of the guys from northlane or erra or something. really interested to see what their boards have considering the wide tonal requirements for modern metal stuff
My his ocd is setting off my ocd! The pedals on the back are out of order according to his loops, and if the orientation of the writing is his vice, "editneve".
so I'm guessing your a Fender guy then???? not using strymon (which would have been fine if he had, because it is great stuff), is a tip of the hat for not being predictable.....but using a tele is not predictable......got it. all I know is that the dude has some great sounds......and honestly, while I love the sounds he gets, those "sounds" are the most predictable thing about worship music.......worship guys worship Jesus and the Edge, in that order......lol. so whether they use strymon or boss or eventide, they all pretty much go after the same dreamy ambient edge like tone.
Schmidt array pedalboards save tons of space. They are pretty expensive, but with the DIY on your board, you could definitely make one similar to theirs.
Great concept and video. Everything you need and nothing you don't. Do the same thing for my main gig board, but on a PT Metro so even smaller :-) That 2nd board is fantastic!
I have size 14.5 EEE feet, there is no way I can hit the correct footswitch on a tiny little board like that. It's why I now use a Holeyboard 1233, its 42" wide, dual tiered with 3 power supplies and 14 pedals. That's my typical gigging rig. We don't have a keyboard player so I use the EHX Synth9, C9 and Mel9 for a complete keyboard section. I control everything with two EHX Tri-parallel switchers and one EHX Super Switcher. I preset all my pedals, and to select my effect(s) all I have to do is hit one footswitch. Makes controlling a complex rig like that, even with huge feet, a simple task.
That. Is. Awesome! I wish I had that many pedals. I mainly use my amp's distortion so my only pedal is a tc electronic spark mini boost although I have had a whammy and a Hotone reverb pedal. I am going to get a DOD carcosa fuzz and an EQD plumes soon.
It's pedal board video but.. his telecaster and amp alone sounds so good and he's doing everything right with the pedal board to that sound. Good sound. This setup is fine for pop music also. Yes, I prefer the big board but maybe because of the guitar. Oh and the way he tell himself not to cheat his tele is to put his wife and daughter name on it? LOL niiice.
I don't get why he uses the loop switcher to turn on/off the pedals individually when their own switches are easily accessible... Wasn't he supposed to program the looper with actually loops with 2 or more pedals?
If I was one here it’d be very boring, considering on my bass pedalboard all I have 4 pedals including my tuner, and the other three is an overdrive, Morley fuzz wah, and another fuzz lmao
I use the 'C' setting on both of them. I haven't spent much time experimenting with the different settings to be honest though. They were set to 'C' when I got them out of the box and thats where they stayed ha
Good to see 0 Strymon in a worship rig haha. I have a similar board that works great for outside church gigs as well. Are those EBS gold flat cables too? ;) Feel free to check out my board on Instagram: JayyJamzz and that second board is killer!
I'm very disappointed in Sweetwater because for years I bought only from them. I haven't a 💳 credit history and I didn't qualify for a 300 dollar Sweetwater card!!!
