Siblings raised in the same alcoholic home will turn out differently because God put different personalities in each of us. My brother is an alcoholic due to my father's mistreatment and lack of a Godly home. I did not become an alcoholic because i am extremely sensitive and couldn't handle that lifestyle. It wasn't as much a cognizant choice as a personality that is very different than my brother's. I agree with everything else being said though.
