Through their Video shows which are presented with utter respect with dignity to foreign culturals and their culinary norms, sometimes most bizzare around the world, they have been pivotal in promoting the fact that Americans are indeed not stupid as the Amreican local media makes them out to be. Goes both ways. We often judge people and cultures based on their portrayal by media. As they also judge Americans by the media. In reality, the people are just soooo kind, caring, welcoming and more fun than they get credit for.

I've always wondered when guys like Andrew and Anthony Bourdain visit homes in these episodes if the families are compensated for their trouble. Slaughtering a goat and putting on such a huge feast has to be a costly expense to these families.
