alex I think it’s more respectable rather doing what Djoko/Murray do... not hitting the hell out of every ball and hoping it goes in... being willing to run every ball down is more respectable in my mind... what do these guys like Rublev do if they start missing? They can’t grind on bad days like Nadal, Murray, Djoko etc... they have no plan B...
Kids got natural power that many players don’t have especially at his size. His familys boxing background shows in his game, every shot is like a hard punch for him. I think if he can get his mind right like medvedev did last year he’ll be dangerous. Davydenko on crack I tell ya lolol
Luis Alejandro I get what you are saying... but you can also that for Rublev as he lacks what they do and just smacks a ball and on a bad day just hits so many unforced errors... his B/C game is much worse compared to them hence the results... but Murray for example has got a great skillset... ability to block big serves back, dropshot, lobs, aggressive backhand/ backhand return (2016 mainly)... just don’t see it often as compared to a likes of Kyrgios/Fed who have tones of skill and it’s very noticeable even if not a hardcore fan
You know you are in trouble when the Nick Kyrgios that shows up on the day is focused, not smiling, not talking or arguing is playing you. This is a formidable force in 21st century tennis when he really wants to win. Make no mistake Rublev has to be a top player to beat this version of Nick Kyrgios
I used to like gyrgios and then I saw rublev beating Federer. When they played against each other you can see a huge contrast. Rublev is giving it all in every single ball he hits. He is being patient, trying to wait for the moment when kyrgios's serve misses... Rather go for rublev than kyrgios now.
lol sometimes I feel like Kyrgios just makes up excuses when he is losing or can't perform well, eg: Lights are bothering my eyes, Was up late playing Fortnite, Don't feel like trying, Umpire is against me, Line Judge is making a poor call, Audience members are bothering me, opponent is taking too long between serves ... I feel like that's why he doesn't have a coach. He doesn't want hear someone critique him or point out his flaws because ignorance is bliss ... **smh**
Well Everytime he mentions one of those things, he gives full credit to the opponent saying that his "excuse" would not have changed the outcome of the match. He doesn't want a coach because he's lazy and doesn't take the sport seriously
flum If he truly doesn’t take the sport seriously then why does he have those unnecessary meltdowns every time? Why does he have to insult his opponent’s girlfriend? Why’s he acting like tennis is too serious for him to let go things easily?
If kyrgios would put the same intensity in every freaking ball like rublev he would be KO in the second or third round Noway hes on his fitnesslevel This is one big reason why hell never be a top 10 or 5 player cause he has no fighting skills in every point
@@lukashelmhart6049 Yeah to be a top 10 or 5 player you basically need to be a marathon runner. Look at all the top guys, like nadal, thiem, djokovic, medvedev and previously murray and nishikori - these guys all have insane intensity and fitness. They don't even need to make insane shots or combinations like krygios, they make up for it by being able to fight for every point and come on top due to fitness.
@@mastershake886 exactly ! Thats why kyrgios will never ever win a slam ! Guys like thiem just want to win every single point ! But to be honest kyrgios just doesnt want to win as bad as this guys thats the main reason for his bshit career
@@charlesjang4854 That's athletic injuries due to intensive training. But I mean for amateurs, I sometimes fell on the ground and injured my skin when I lose control of my body balance on slippery courts. And in most cases these injuries occur on knees and it sucks.
I see your point! It looks pretty athletic and it’s interesting to see. On the other hand, he puts a lot of pressure on his left wrist, a much less stable joint that should be protected more than a little bit of skin on his knee :)
Without his serve Kyrgios wouldn't even be top 100. He once said after playing Murray, "Once I realised he could return my serve, I knew I was in trouble." I'm other words, without my serve, I'm nothing. My sentiments exactly Nick.
So fun to watch two very different players battle it out. These guys have such different ways of thinking but both are equally determined to one-up each other. Rublev plays intensely straightforward and Nick plays anything that will annoy his opponent. Also, this point is ridiculous... 10:41
didn’t see that much people compliment Rublev so I am going to do it I love his corner /close to the line shot that just out of reach Great effort mate 辛苦了
At 4:53 that's not cool, I have no tolerance for getting angry with the ball boys/girls. Like I get that you're frustrated, but taking it out on them is just not right at all, they didn't do anything wrong.
Wow, so I don't know if I would have noticed it if you hadn't said it. Definitely angry about the towel and using profanity, which is not okay. But I do think his frustration stems from the new time violations. He can lose a serve/point if he first gets a warning about taking time between points. And I've seen that frustrate him in the past. So I guess I see his perspective. Definitely not a fan of his tone or word choice toward the ball kid though, gotta agree with you.
Kyrgios, artista de la cancha, con todo para ser el num uno no sólo de Australia. Pero negándose a tomar el lugar que le corresponde. Casi todos quisiéramos que ganara.
Everyone in ATP has skills of potential number 1....nothing special with Kyrgios skills, coz everyone can do that...he is just making so much fuzz that’s why he gets a lot of attention, however polarized
@Aps Bern Stupidest comment. Not defending Kyrgios behavior but not everyone has a potential to become #1 and not everyone’s skills are equal. Obviously
@@natka9876 the 'everyone' was an exaggeration but yeah there are tones of guys, top 20/30 who can be number one if they had the mentality. Djokovic does not have anything special, he's serve is okay nor is he dominate on one surface. being able to return comes from practicing which entails discipline. his mentality has careed him far. that is why people say tennis is 90% mental, or some huge number like that. everyone has skills that they can use to their advantage, there are players with a better serve than Federer who are not number one
Looks like the most important thing for Kyrios is not to get heart, he's afraid of hard work, hard effort, hard fitting. He keeps cool all right but lacks passion, fire.
Nick not having any coaches or trainers really show late in the match. He starts to slow way down and make tons of errors. Well except his serve. That thing is brutal!
seriously though, somebody should sit this Kyrgios down and talk with him. He is clearly a great talent but isn't getting anywhere until he drops the tomfoolery.....
Impressive with Rubleb play only and it was good play by Aussie.. but i do not expect any better from Aussie.. still hate how he plays from beginning to end.. period
