Alex, your work is incredible alongside Hal9k. You both helped turn my troublesome device into an awesome unit. I have a question though. I am not very computer savy or software knowledgable so Im not to sure which software to upload. I have a Seicane which has rockchip px5 with mcu mtcp_hf_v3.11_1 I've already done the hal9k mod4 and it worked awesome. Today I uploaded the android 10 file which worked perfect. However Im stuck going through the software for px5 android 10 as theres 6 categories What does CHS/GS/HA/HCT/HLA/OLS represent and then once I chose one of those? I did pick HCT but wasnt sure to pick HCT2 or 4 or 7. the 7 would not register on the unit so I have chosen the 4 and it seems to have uploaded. but when it rebooted mod installer pro has gone however it did upload to android 10

Hello! I have updated my PX5 from android 9 to 10. Android 10 provided by the seller ISUDAR. After install, shut down and open again, I have some problem with connection to a wifi network. I connect to wifi in the first time and everything works fine. After shut down and open, It shows me that the wifinetwork is saved but could not connect to it. And instead the wifi connection logo appears something like this „ ” It works to download apps from google play, but on the youtube song can play only to the middle of the song. Any song! It looks like there is some connection to the network. But Chrome, for example, try to open but it close instant. Can someone help me? Thanks!

Yes on the HCT launcher the home screen cant be changed. However, I m using the GS Launcher with HCT widgets from Hal9k_Mod_4.0 and yes I am able to change everything on the homescreen. So its just the launcher that is restricting not the firmware.

Hey Alex! I saw your video’s on youtube about the android radio’s. I have a couple of questions. I bought a android 10 radio for my car. The first day the radio worked fine. The second day the radio crashed and i must reset the radio. I have a 2 problems i cant find a solution for the problems. The first problem is: when i shift gears. The radio detect when its in reverse the radio automatically put it in back up camera mode. When you put it out of reverse it turns normal. I have installed a back up camera AHD1080p. Didnt work. So i cut the wire and it works on CVBS720p. But now when i put it in reverse the radio get black. When i put it in other gears it shift in to back up camera mode. When i disconnect the trigger wire from the radio in the gear reverse works normal. Other gears it stays in back up mode. I tried everything reset hard reset. I have android 10 new version and my mcu is: MTCE_MX_v3.60_1 a update from 9 augst. 2020.When im putting music from the usb. First couple of seconds the radio gets quieter and the back to normal volume. After 30 seconds the radio crash and i need to soft reset it. Everytime i need to choose my usb to play music from. The radio dont do it automatically. It drive me crazy. I tried everything. The seller doenst help me. I put alot of money for the radio. I cant use it like i want to. Please help me! I also bought a dab+ antenne installed the apk and it doesn’t work also. Can anybody please help me. I tried everything.

the version that came in the unit is newer than the latest version in the website. But it is not stable. I wonder if i should still step down to that latest version. why would my current version not be there?

Hey Alex! Thanks for your answer the last time. I bought a new radio and everything is working right! The back up camera is working and i dont have anymore problems with the music app. But I have one problem. When the car is off for a couple of hours the radio dont remember the radio channels, time and the music. Everything i need to select the usb flash drive to play music. When i have the car off for a hour and restart it agian. It not a problem and remember everything. What is de problem?

Great video. I assume i can use the same procedure to downgrade from 10 (which my unit came with) to 9? Could you possibly answer a few questions i have regarding this sort of thing as its new to me and seems to be rather different to the usual phone/tablet rom flashing that i'm used to. you mention in the video about HCT/CHS etc ROMs, what are they exactly? different roms made for different Head Units? do you think that v9 is better performance than 10? specifically hal9k v9 rom. i'm assuming that that would be much better than the stock v10 rom currently on my HU. I feel it is rather sluggish compared to mobile phones i've used over the past 5 years. I'm hoping it is because of a poorly optimised ROM.

Hi @alex, I want to upgrade my android 10 to the android 11 version on a PX6. The actual system is the MTCH_MX_3.80_1, but i can't "visibly" do that with the mod installer pro 2 (only android 9 to 10, and it's not free at all). I saw people which use FactoryTool-1.72.7-1.7 to do that, but the youtube video has disapear since :(. What do you suggest about ? Should download the rockship HA3_rk3399_11.0_ota(20220601) and the MCU MTCH_MX_V3.84, or just the rockship is enough? i don't understand the difference. Sorry my my level in english is pretty bad to follow your instruction. I have also an another problem; because i have a Peugeot 407 with an option proposed by peugeot at the time; "JBL sound system", and the PX6 don't recognize this system, and the amplificater, so the sound was pretty bad. I lost the radar parking assistance too. Is it the canbus systeme which is not adaptable. Sorry for my english, and t'll be very glad if you can help me :)

Got my headunit installed and ready to install the Hal9K mod and the screen didn't even work. Had to take it back and a replacement is coming today. But won't be able to get it installed till Friday :(

Hi Alex, I tried to Erase Flash first before doing the upgrade. It started to erase the flash, but it failed at the end. Now I am unable to get into recovery mode. Any ideas? Dasaita PX6 Max10

I must have installed a wrong MCU version, I'm getting the error message "Version unmatch-01". I didn't check what version I had before upgrading, how can I tell now what's the correct version I need to install?

I solved the problem! So for anyone that followed this video up to the point where Alex's puts the head unit into recovery mode. You might get stuck if you just put the update file alone on a USB drive and plug it in and try to click update from USB.. Solution: 1:Format the USB your are tying to use twice just to be sure (Fat 32) as he said. 2:Copy the MCU file on to the USB. that the file within the zip folder the one that looks like a page with a disk on it. 3:Copy the update zip fold UNZIPPED as he shows u onto the USB ..You should have 2 item now on the USB. 4: As the head unit should be in recovery mode already, select update MCU from USB. After the process is finished the head unit should go back to the recovery screen. 5: Now select install update from USB the installation should now start. As he mention this process could take a while. once its install reboot the head unit.. and everything should look like his final screen.. Alex hope this helps your views ..I was stuck with my head unit saying (installation aborted,no such file found ) even thou I had the update file on my USB drive..It was very very annoying almost punch my head unit lol.

Hi, I have recently got Android 10 Head unit (Versions MCU: JM5-00C3 and System Version: JCAC10030-OA-V.1.0.16B4-210107_0859) The head unit looks excellent but having following issues: 1. When the headunit is started again, the date/time is gets automatically changed. Tried setting up via network update and even manually. 2. Cant play music on bluetooth directly unless you select bluetooth app on the headunit and then you will head it. I was trying to update firmware via OTA update but unfortunately it doesnt do anything. Please advise if can update this firmware somehow or guide me where can i find installable android 10 version.

Hi Alex, I wanted to ask if you have advice. I have upgraded my px5 unit to Android 10 and Hal9k. Some weeks later my headunt started rebooting almost every time you remove the ignition key and leave car for couple hours. Why it is not going to sleep, but rather rebooting? Head unit is connected via addapter using original radio harness on Passat b6. On my previous Android 8 & 9 and Hal9k versions this headunit was allways going into sleep mode after ignition key removed. Thank you in advance for reply.

I have a Android 9 - PX6 64gb/4gb ram. Its a RK3399 but as its a Volvo android headunit the MCU ver is DH200729T512188X611200923. I am guessing the MCU compatibility is vital to this firmware working. I am struggling to find any info on MCU starting DH. The HCT7 PX5 link in description leads to an update.img file , this is not usable by the recovery menu shown . How do we use the update.img files for flashing?

Hal9k tells me to update to android 10 but I don't want to. There is a pop up every week telling me to update. Any idea how to disable this? thanks

Hi, has it ever happened to you with Android 10 and PX5 that if you leave the car off for 2-3 days (Saturday / Sunday for example), and consequently the radio, when you turn it on you find it in recovery by itself? Then doing a "system reboot" starts without problems and is perfect for the whole week?

Hi Alex, I successfully upgraded my PX5 unit to Android 10 throughpurchased Hal9k Mod which i purchased following to the explanation in the video.. I have couple of questions. 1- Mod installer is not setup in android 10, i can't find it in the installed apps .. Is that normal? 2- i installed HTC4 , How can i switch to HTC7.. Shall i download it again and setup it through Mod APK as i did with HTC 4.. Do you recommend? 3- what i understood that i can update any newer version through WIFI.. But when i click software update nothing happen

Hey, So I've tried to do the update to my Model Android PX30(1024x600) MCU version MTCE_MX_V2.94_1 with Android 8.1 version to the Android 10 I got from the set. I don't know if I'm doing it in order. I try to follow the video be it's to fast for me. I get an error 10 code every time I try. Being that everything I see on the video is written in a different language from English. It's really hard for me to follow closely. Do you have any step-by-step way of doing this? The videos are great. But I can't read Deu/Ger from the screen. Your words are in English. But I need the video to show in English to. Can you help me please? I'm so lost...

Guys, how do I get back the standard background? :)) I've updated with HCT on Android 9, and played around with the wallpaper, didn't like it as it's mostly hidden anyway. But when I installed it, the background was white and went to black automatically in night mode. I want it back like that but can't find any options to do it, just solid wallpaper.

My FAT32 formatted USB or MicroSD cards are not being read for the MCU update. Anyone else have this issue? I have tried varios sized MicroSD cards, USB thumb drives and rebooted to recovery menu with no luck. Weirdly some times the music player launches when i connect the USB even though the only item on the card is the mcu .img file. Any help would be appreciated.

Ich habe ein Dasaita mit Android 10, PX6, MTCE_HA_V3.57_1, WQ_RF210. Der 'OBDLink LX Bluetooth' Adapter verbindet sich nicht per BT mit dem Radio. Als verfügbares Gerät wird er angezeigt. BT-Verbindung Adapter mit Handy klappt gut, auch Radio mit Handy funktioniert. Wo könnte die Ursache liegen, dass Adapter mit Radio nicht geht? Hal9k ist noch nicht auf dem Radio. Vielen Dank!

Hi ! I have a MTCE Dasaita Max 6 4GB/64GB running HAL9K Mod v4.2 android 9 . I have successfully upgraded to stock Android 10 HTC7 ROM by following this video after purchasing mod installer pro 2 from HAL9K . Everything is working fine except for the wifi which refuses to turn on . I had upgraded the MCU to MTCE HA V3.67 from v3.45 before upgrading and did a factory reset . I have tried various other ROM's from the Rockchip PX6 android 10 folder on the Yandex link provided by you but the wifi is not switching on My bluetooth module is WQ_RF210 and it is working fine. Please help. Thanks

my screen often turns off after 45 minutes of driving. the screen only turns on after turning off the car and then waiting for a while. i have a px5 android. i hope the update can fix this problem

Thanks for the exclent video Alex. However, I wanted to let you know that the Hal9k site say that "The MD725 type 2 Bluetooth module works on Android 6, but does not work on Android 8 and 9." I can tell you for a fact that this is not true. I have on my system Build px5-userdebug 8.0.0 OPR5.170623.007 eng.hct.20180510.131628 test-keys and I had MTCE_XRC_V2.80_1 then updated to MTCE_XRC_V3.08 then checked and I have the MD725. My Bluetooth work just fine on my unit and have been since I updated to version 8 (over 2 years ago). The only question is, if Hal9k is wrong about MD725 functionality on Android 8.0.0, are they also wrong about it on 9 and 10?
