You got it.. only over USB in this screen

Try going to Settings --> General --> CarPlay and see if the vehicle is there. If it is, delete it. Then delete the bluetooth connection and remove the phone from the vehicle. Try to reconnect. If that doesn't work than it's probably the USB cable. If yours isn't an Apple original, replace it with an Apple one. I find that 3rd party cables don't like to work

Some of the lower trims have a slightly smaller screen with support for wireless Android Auto and CarPlay but there's no option for wireless in these higher trim levels

Yup.. there's no way I've been able to find for it to auto launch

Yes, it's a USB connection for CarPlay and Android Auto so you need to be connected for it to work

That’s so weird cause I read online the new 2023 is supposed to have wireless 🤷🏻‍♂️

Nope.. the LX / LXS base models have an 8" screen that doesn't have factory navigation.. but they also support wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
