Use your Android phone through your car console display. Use nav (Google Maps navigation), phone, "OK Google" hands free, music, etc. Quick and easy. How to install and configure Android Auto App.
Thanks for uploading this video tutorial, it's nice and clear & simply explained. The built in nav. system on my Mazda is poor and outdated so I'll try downloading Android Auto and see if I can get it to run. Onceagain, many thanks! 👍
thank you for an excellent video, very clear. however, my google maps / waze don't give me directions to my destination. please help. it shows how to get there on the first screen, that's it. it does not read me / lead me to my destination in terms of taking the exit to my destination. Why? Please help. Thank you very much.
The reason you allow access to Calendar is when you get in your car previous to an appointment listed on your calendar, Maps will automatically set a course for you based on current road conditions, such as road construction, auto wreck or breakdown causing slow traffic, and finding you the fastest route to your destination. I was impressed that my car knew where I was going when I was in a hurry and before I even touched anything!
Do you know why my andriod auto is not popping on my screen in my car? I was in Ohio, got in the car, located my next trip and it popped on automatically. When I am home in Michigan it is not just automatically popping up? Can you help?
I must be stupid. I can't get what they're saying. Seems as if they talk too fast. I am not a genius, but does anyone know where written instructions for this are so I can follow them?
It's's very similar for iphones. With iPhones, it's called carplay, you don't have to install it. It's preloaded on iPhones. When you connect your USB, cable, it auto launches and a version of your iPhone's home screen will display on your car monitor..
Every time I try using maps through Android Auto it is constantly disconnecting. Do you know if there is a way to use this app while using just my phone's maps and not through the app so the connection is better?
Only thing that you are wrong about is you can still use your phone while the app is running. Just minimize the app as it runs in the background. Then you can do whatever you want on your phone. As long as its still connected via USB. Also not all vehicles are the same on the settings setup. So remember that.
I would consult the manual or the dealership to see if the car can utilize Android Auto. Some cars can only stream from a cell phone - not use apps from the phone via Android Auto or CarPlay. From what I can tell, the 2012 Infiniti may not have Android Auto capacity.
Thank you for your video, it helped me a lot to program my cell phone.... QUESTION: because Google Maps does not appear on the screen of my car and when I ask for assistance from Google, it answers me that it is not programmed to open that......someone advice thanks
The display panel is built into my car console. You connect an Android or iPhone device to it via cable. If you have an iPhone it's even slightly easier as the app is already pre-installed. You just plug in your cable from the iPhone to your USB port on your car. Carplay will Auto launch.
So I'm sitting at home watching this video on my phone and my google home picked up when she said " ok Google call Dairy Queen" and she started calling it.🤣🤣
We used it to go from the southmost border to Kentucky and back. I can only assume that were periods of being offline. But I don't recall.. it should be fine. I believe that's the purpose of downloading portions of the U.S. map to the device.
