Thank u for a detailed video. Suler helpful. I am doing my stereo on 2008 cls and for some reason headunit does not power on. They only wire that i havent connected is wire from canbus box to cars can system. Also my decoder does not have 2 green wires. Only red wire labeled ACC. Do you think cars CAN system has to be connected ir order for unit to power on? Thank you for your time if you get a chance to answer.
Hey, go over the wiring probably something is loose or maybe a fuse the new Canvas style do not have the green wires It will be only red black, yellow and the RCA
Me too I did all the steps. I don’t have those two green wires. Everything works, but no audio. What fuse did you move that you were talking about? You never showed that.
This video just not explain anything at all.. Just make more confusing . I rather sale the car and buy new car with android Auto and apple car entertainment.. Cause my head spinning just by look at the wirings
Great video, but what is the exact name of the Optical Fiber Decoder Most Box for the car? Yours has 1 green and 1 black-green wire but all I can find almost everywhere have a black and a yellow and two jacks. Where did you get yours exactly?
You are correct the new ones don’t have the green wires for the signal they build in , so you should be fine with the new models just check that is for your exact model.
Thank you very much for your video, very usefull. I m having a problem with the 3 Power wires. If i Connect the 3 Of them, radio works but all the car panel starts blinking. If I disconnect the on off wiring, blinking stops, but radio stop Working aswell. Any ideas?
Thank you so much for this video! Best I have seen so far I am currently working on this. I have power and no sound, connected all the wires EXACTLY how you showed. For the canbus under the dash, it caused the instrument cluster to malfunction (not work at all and gave the oil icon on the center screen saying display malfunction). Where did I go wrong?
Friend I have installed EVERYTHING JUST AS YOU HAVE but when I connect to any canbus wiring The car goes berzerk and lights up like a Christmas tree but goes back to normal once I unplug the can us decoders green wires.
Everything work fine with my android multimedia apart from phone steering wheel buttons. Not available is shown when i press them.Do you know why this happens; I have w211 classic 2004 without Bluetooth installation.Instead Bluetooth works with android button or mobile buttons.
thank you for this very educational video , much appreciated , i hooked up my new android auto screen but the not my bose OEM amplifier , my speakers sound soo shallow , where can i find the fiber optic converter if you may ! it's a bit urgent , can't really stand the music in my car now , bose speakers sound like a cheap amazone speakers . thank you , any link ,amazone? ebay ?
Hey, I got my from eBay I wish I could share the link but that seller doesn’t sell it anymore, but eBay have those converters just search for your model, second opinion is to wire aftermarket amps and running new wires to everything I did that as well, hopefully i answer your question
Guys, I have followed the instructions and wired the speaker cable to the existing car can bus, the new car can bus and the fibre optic converter but still cannot get stereo sound, absolutely nothing. Can any help with advise?
@@jayheritageclub7852 no I can’t use steering controls. Thank you for replying, I really appreciate that. I will watch the video again and see if I can get it right the 2nd time around.
Man, this whole MOST box has been a HUGE headache for me. I have 2 ML's and both do the same thing, even with 2 different MOST boxes! All wired up correctly but it is almost as though the MOST box doesn't send a signal to the HK amp fast enough and thus the amp just goes to sleep, doesn't send anything and I get no audio as a result.
Thank you so much for the inlightmen my challenge is I try to connect my aftermarket android system but finding it difficult the green and black connector
Hello, can someone tell me where to buy the package that connects the volume boxes, that small package that includes the two orange wires? What's his name
@@jayheritageclub7852 hi mate, I got the same problem, all the installation works except I haven’t got any sound, my Fiber connector doesn’t got the two green wires to connect to the canbus do you think it could work? The fibre connector wassold by the same reseller of the radio, I was thinking it should work😭 I’m actually using my radio was an external speaker connected with an RCA cable…😅 Many thanks for your job!!
@@alexandrebruneau159 you’ll need to mary radio to car , on you hardness that came with radio it will have little red box there you will have 2 green wires one with black line those can be connected under glove box, than car will recognize the radio
Hii m8, my canbuss has 1solid green and 1 green and white wire, optic fiber decoder has no green wires,so I tried connecting those 2 wires to car canbuss still no sound. My cd changer is out and I bought MOST fiber optic loop bypass for that cd changer connection. Any help would be much apritiated.
Hi, great video! I have an 2005 SLK 350 with Harman Kardon. It has optic fiber. I followed all steps (haven't connected the green cable to the canbus yet), but I'm not getting any power to the unit. I've connected yellow to what looks like redish with a blue stripe, and black to brown. Haven't connected the red cable to the third cable available yet, that looks like a pale brown. I need help
I dont get it. Do i need the optic fibre cable to run the radio or smth else. I dont have Harman Kardon or smth else. So i just need to put the 3 wires together and the can bus and than on the radio and everything works right?
You should tag all the Chinese brands like seicane.. great video but I definitely still can't figure it out but I will ahow this to my installer... best video I found yet! Thanks! P.s. I have the ground loop problem, no illumination, no steering wheel controls and it won't remember my settings 🙄🤯😔
Follow the video part where I connect it under glove box it will get the sound and steering control ( just find the wires from main harness and run them to car canvas anger glove box )
@@jayheritageclub7852So what do I do if my decoder box didn't come with the 2 green wires on the harness? 🤔 mine has black, yellow and red wires plus the rca's
Thank you for everything. Without your video I would be lost. I did this install on my slk r171. I didn't use the connection to the lighter though. On slk, if anybody needs it in the future, you can get the canbus from the a/c harness, right down from the headunit. I found this in a forum with an SL so maybe its the same with MB of this era. its a pair of brown/brown red wires. If the headunit doesn't light up you can try to flip the green/green-black with the brown ones. One question that I have is that people have told me that I need to also run a cable in the trunk to activate the amplifier for the fm-radio. In the case without fiber, the cable comes in the headunit as blue/white. Any idea on this? I have FM radio reception but it can easily be lost
What do you mean When you say you can get the canbus from the a/c unit? Meaning you can connect the green cable to the a/c unit and avoid taking the panel below the glove box to access the canbus plug area?
I connected the two wires from the iso harness to the canbus of the car but steering wheel control still doesnt work, should I connect directly the two green wires from the canbus box to the canbus of the car?, any ideas? thank you
I have a 2007 w211 e63 amg, I am so happy because of the video you made, thanks for taking the time to helping us to give us a hand I did everything you explained but I got stuck because I have no sound…my can bust did not come with green wires I noticed you have four green wires can you please explain how I can go about doing this thank you.
Hello thanks for comment, you have a new converter box it should have rca red , yellow, black , but the radio hardness should still have the 2 green wires one with black line those wires still need to connect under the glove box to car canvas solid green to solid brown and green with black line to brown with white line , let me know if you got it work
Hey guys I ran into the same issue. From my cab bus decoder, harness I have pink, orange, red, black, green and white, green solid. And my fiber optic has yellow, red, black wires, with 2 rca, red and black. Please help, can send pictures if needed.
My decoder box doesn't have the 2 green wires. Only the harness has them. The plug of the harness that came with the decoder/converter box, has the 2 empty spots for those 2 wires. Should it be enough to just plug the ones that came with the harness to the canvas?
hi , thanks for your video , very helpful ,but there is still one problem . everything working fine but after like 3-4 minutes the sound stops , i tried to reset the battery car and again sounds 3-4 minuts then stops..do you know where can be the problem? thank you very much !
Hi good evening, I’m so happy that you took the time to help us, your video is great, but I really need your help I did everything you said but I’m stock because I don’t have sound and I don’t know how you got 4 green wire. Specially the one coming from the can bust. My can bust only have four wire, yellow, black and two RC connectors. But no green. Please help me
Hi Jay brilliant video thank you for sharing. I would like to add, I have a merc w211 using the newer decoder ie yellow, black and two RCE wires, and I too had the problem of no sound. I have just found on the internet a fix if you unplug your dash cam or rear cam and see if you get sound from HU I tried and hey presto it worked! Try it it can’t do any harm. Just have to figure out how to get the SWU to work! Good luck all. Geoff
Hey buddy where do you get the fiber optic box with the 2 green wires because i order one and didn't come with the green wires if you can send me the link so i can get it ill be much appreciate
Hey thank you for reaching out at the time that I made the video I had the old style box new style don’t have the green wires the signal turn on build inside so they will have only three wires and RCA
I conect everything step by step as your video but i dont have sound! my green cables are plugt with pins. They come like this, with extended cable and i just stick it. I dont have any sound and and any stering wheel control like the box dont work. No illumination on the buttons as well
From the android hardness there will be 2 wires green and green with black line correct them to car canvas under the glove box solid to solid you will need to extend them
After viewing the video more carefully I come to realize the canbus along with the fiber decorder that can with my radio box is missing the green with green/black wire. What is the model number of Both your boxes so I can order
Hi Jay, I purchased a wondefoo android radio for my SL550 2013.. The issue I have is the NTG home screen ( all factory display /home screen gives me no signal.. can you help?

Hi, great video, thank you! I connected everything as shown. Married Canbus box and FiberOptic Decoder to Canbus of car. Everything works (Steering wheel control, illumination, etc.) but there is no sound. Any idea?

Hi Jay, Thank you very much for your response. I could not set SWC, I connected two wires key 1 & key 2 from HU to Can BUS pin #7 &16 and swapped RX & TX to Can Bus (white connector), both connections ways did not work. (I connected red, yellow and black wires). Pls advise Thanh’s.
Does this audio connection give you clean audio? Is the audio signal still separated for the different speakers by your amplifier or is it now dirty stereo all-round, subwoofer now also plays all frequencies instead of only sub signal, tweeters play all frequencies, mids play all frequencies) Saw a different video where someone had this issue, however he did have a Japanese comand system which does not have factory aux.
I need some help with getting sound. I have the same factory radio ad you. I followed you’re connections but I don’t have sound I notice your canbus has the green wire that goes to the canbus going under the glove box. My canbus doesn’t have a green wire. Is the color in mine different? Please help
Hello , in your box you’ll have Red ,Yellow ,Black , correct? That’s ok it’s newer box so connected them like in video but for sound , you need to find in video when I speak about 2 green wires from the wiring that came with radio or ( on new wiring all you need to use it’s Red , Black , Yellow and 2 Green wires DO NOT pay attention to anything else if you don’t need to use it ) connect it to the car and 2 green to the canvas under the glove box .
@@deeluvv5407 do you have steering control over the radio ? No not the speakers wire find the four speakers find the key one key too illumination all that stuff and then you’re gonna have left to green wires usually they will be on the corner one will have a black stripe those are the ones that supposed to go under the glove box
@@jayheritageclub7852 ok I understand. I wanted to send you a photo of the cables I have so u can see if I have the right cable to connect to canbus. Let me know how I can send you the photo. I don’t want to be too much of a bother to you. I apologize if I am
For head unit on android wires hardness you need to use looped wires between radio and canvas red yellow and black should be only for radio connect if you have conbus converter with red yellow and black connect the together with ones from radio
So,from the radio can bus green wires are connected to the green wires from the optic fiber converter and also connected to the car can bus wires from under the dash if I got it right
Please help Me bro I just spent 400$ on this setup and it’s not working I have wired Mike the same exact way and I can’t get any sound and when I wire to the canbus all the assists shut off and car malfunctions please help
Hi there thanks for a great instructive video it worked a treat for me 2007 cls320. I found I had to keep the cd/dvd player wired for me to get sound. All volumes and balance works so I guess the can bus connection is good. There is one thing I can't do and that is to get my steering controls to work it's as if the radio doesn't see them. Any suggestions thanks again for a brilliant video
Hello thanks for your message, I posted this video i believe in 2020/2021 I don’t do those installs daily and some things got updated I can’t help exactly. (so in video I speak about green wires from the radio hardness those should go direct under the glove box).

Hello Jay, I have a 03 MB E500 and replacing my HU with and Android 8" and will be replacing my factory amplifier w/aftermarket amps. To hook up my 4 channel and mono amps I wouldn't need the optic amp interface correct?
A good effort, however sound quality for voice was poor and not very straight forward in instruction. A good general overview of what seems like a complex MB install. One important note to remember as mentioned, use the (+) for the lighter as your stereo (ACC) trigger on. The video is more on the confusing side that helpful, however a great effort and lets see your next video
