@@ShawnTufford I use Huawei P10. They were rounder and almost everything looked better in Android Oreo. I tried Android 9 and after a week I downgraded back to Oreo. Today, after two months, I accidentally upgraded again, but this time I actually like Android Pie
Thank you for telling us that we have the option to turn off gesture controls. Many other people who were reviewing this Android Pie didn’t mention that.
Something else people aren't mentioning is that now wallpapers aren't faded out at the bottom anymore. Look at your home screen on Oreo compared to Android P
Clock on the left and the redacted notification icons are absolutely stupid changes. Plus the removal of quick drop down for quick toggles is infuriating. I like all other changes in P besides notification shade. They should have kept it how it was in Oreo. This is definitely a step backwards.
Anthony Parker I definitely agree. And that frustrates me even more because the software should be intelligent enough to recognize that there is no notch and condense that empty space. Man these damn notches ruining everything 😭
Par D; It's actually the major thing after Oreo. The Android OSs are made alphabetically. Android Oreo was actually a huge milestone for Android because Google totally redesigned the operating system layout so that it is easier for OEMs and cellular companies to add their own apps. The apps are added to Android alongside the OS instead of on top like everything Nougat and below.
I HATE SO MUCH android Pie!!! I've never hated any of that ... Seems that they just wanna make fun of us with this shit... Changed everything for worse! You can't use your phone as usually because what was on the left, now on the right, what was up, now is down! The color of the icons are changed, and give a feeling of 60's style... With the volume and the alarm I'm not sure that I can hear a call, or I can wake up in time, it's a disaster! WHAT A CHANGE, just RIDICULOUS! I want back OREO !!!!! I want my phone back as was yesterday!!!
Well my new phone came with it and it SUCKS and they know it. They added ARB (anti rollback bricking) Try to rollback to Oreo and Pie will brick your phone.
I agree about the recent apps but the gestures are so annoying and take more time. Plus where is the close all apps button? Now we have to swipe them all away one by one
Tango01_ there’s a rotate toggle in the control center. You could also just press the full screen toggle in the app you’re using. Stop finding problems when there are obvious solutions.
the black pixel was purchased immediately after it was released but the white Pixel was purchased later to check if the screen had the same issues so they made the screen better with the later purchased devices
I like Android P for the most part but the bar at the bottom is way too big! Gestures were made to increase screen space but the bar at the bottom is as tall as the buttons before it, defeating the purpose of the gesture system.
Yeah this bothers me too. I have an OP5T and love the gestures, and now there is the update to Android P, and I hope I don't get that button and OxygenOS keeps the gestures, which I love. But my hopes are low because of the fix log "Brand new UI for Android P" oh boy. In Google store there's an app OnePlus gestures to have them, I hope they'll take over P.
The only thing that i don't like about the gesture is that the back button's color is not solid like the navigation button. I don't know why, it just looks weird to me.
If you see this DO NOT UPGRADE TO ANDROID PIE!! It's crap and I can't seem to get used to it. I recomend Android Oreo. Edit: (I have been using android pie for a month now)
Im using Android 8 with samsung experience 9. Im super happy with it,,, after seeing this video i can confirm Android 8 Oreo is far more convienent to use. My phone has been prompting me to update to the new version for over a month now!!! My gut feeling said dont do it!!!! Im glad i have not... i need to get rid of that notification. Im happy with Oreo.
For the last 4 to 5yrs any updates makes the phone or app freaking worse... best thing is never update,,,,only do updates if its minor ,,like security , or performance,, otherwise allow that shiiiiiiiiiii
just to be honest, those features is not for elderly, I do love it.. but kinda hate the same times, i rather have the oreo recent apps, than p recent apps, is like back to older android -_- and those edge of notification drawer is not good.. im stuck at android oreo
Yashaswi Narayana don't worry buddy Best android of all times are Jelly bean Lollipop And Nougat. And KitKat is after jelly bean. Old android version run more fast and has durability more. And less chances pf software damaged
When you were fiddling with the settings and enabled the notch on the bottom and the top, it makes me wonder if there's a phone manufacturer that will make a cutout for the earpiece and cameras, and also one for a fingerprint scanner/home button
@@Bngtn-ij1fi No its not unstable its just a bad update, many things we like and are used to have either changed or gone completely? There's too many things to mention here but for me it was the recent apps view that really annoyed me. Everything takes longer to do, you need both hands to zoom in camera now (pinch) I mean why? Multiwindow has changed now which I hate and the icons look childish. Oreo for me is perfect which is why I've I flashed my firmware back to 8.0 and staying that way!!!
@@muhammadmustafa1414 Download stock firmware 8.0 install it using Odin on a PC. You'll have to Google how to do it or maybe RU-vid videos on how to do it
I actually love the autorotate thing. I always have it off because it annoys me so much when it does it when I don't want it to but now I can choose which is amazing
i feel like tech goes through this design cycle every couple decades: round, sharp, round, sharp everything's round, and now that got old so windows 8/10 made everything square now all the phones are turning round wait... i'd better patent that right now, A CIRCULAR CELL PHONE!
Should've placed the P (newer), on the right hand, and the O (older), on the left hand. That's the logical way to place them (or any two compared items), when comparing old vs new! Old on the left, new on the right, as in progression. Because of your "reversed" placement, or should I say "misplacement", the comparison is somewhat difficult to follow, as the eyes are constantly looking on the right for the newer version.
