I cannot speak for their trucks but since mini logo bearings lasted me the longest out of all i've used so far i will never switch again

Just tried some of their bearings and do you think they get better once you wear em in and all the lube is gone? Cause mine are SLOW MAYBE 1 month old

@@bacterialbenif you got the ML bearings with the metal shields that's why they're slow. The Mini Logo series 3 bearings have black removable shields on both sides of each bearing, and are by no means slow ! ML Series 3 are faster than Reds 🔥

Been skating for nearly 20 years and got a set about 2 years ago when I was traveling and needed to set up a cheap board. I was blown away at how good ML trucks are. If Powell wanted to make a premium truck company I think they would kill it. The engineering is truly impressive. What ML does with completely standard materials and manufacturing is insane. Other company's should take note, do it right and you don't need hollow axels and kingpins or titanium.

I thought that too, but the more I look into history of skating the more I see Andy tipping the hat/helmetnto loadsa people, double foot nose manual, flat ground handplants, I really think his best stuff is ad lib street stuff, he has a freedom to do skate anything after twenty years and the creativity to make use of it

I’m trying this set up with medium bones bushing instead of hard and when I carve they make a popping sound. Im gonna try the higher duro and see if the goes away. Or I can add some lube. If it works for Andy seems good to me.
@idmhead0160
@idmhead0160 Год назад
I think I heard about that being a problem with the Bones bushing washers? I tried them briefly just to see what they were like, but, then just went back to stock bushings. I don't recall whether I had that problem or not. It sounds familiar. One thing to watch out for, is when you first get new bushings, don't tighten them down a lot right away. Leave them loose and they will harden up some on their own. Otherwise, you can end up mashing them down and damaging them.
@michaelthompson7277
@michaelthompson7277 10 месяцев назад
Take out the bushings and rub them on a bar of dove ivory soap. That’s it, fixes the squeaks. I don’t suggest using graphite or any oil based lube, although silicone based lube would probably work I haven’t tried it. The dove soap trick is cleaner and doesn’t get your hands dirty and doesn’t attract dirt.

I had massive heavy steel 'orion' trucks when i was a kid, everyone else had slick ultra light independent trucks, but i had the highest slow mo ollie, mid life crisis went and bought a deck with independent trucks and my ollie is crappy and uncontrolled now, just a thought for heavy trucks 😊

The deck is 8.7. I'm using Indy 8.75 (159s) and they are pretty much perfect for me. Mini Logo said above that Andy is using 8.38, which seems weird to me because I know he was using 8.75 before. In another video he said he was working with George Powell on offset freestyle-like wheels (extend beyone the axle ends). So, maybe that's why he's riding the narrower trucks? I'm not a freestyler, but, I would think you would want the axles to match up with the board. But, maybe there is a reason for a narrower truck? I don't remember what the recommendations are on that for freestyle tricks. I have Indy 159s with the Rat Bones II Dragon wheels and it's pretty much perfect. I normally, like to upsize my trucks by a quarter inch because narrow street wheels don't typically extend to the end of the axle and I prefer that my wheels like up with the edge of the board rather than the axles.

@@idmhead0160 I am a freestyler. Narrow trucks roll in to Primo better, the board flips better, and with the Freestyle wheels that extend over the bolts your primo is like super stable with out destroying the nuts on the end of your axles. I have andy's new wheels with his new board on a set of 8.25 trucks and they work great but I just ordered a set of 8.5 to try out with it.

You know you failed to mention the most important piece of info... What size are the trucks? The mini-logo truck chart suggests 8" / 8.38" & 8.75" are all suitable for 8.5" width over the bolts but what size do you actually ride with this deck?!

@@minilogo Are you sure about that? Previously, he said he was riding 8.75s. And the new egg shaped deck is 8.7. I would have thought he would have stuck with 8.75s since he does freestyle tricks. But, now that I think about it, I think he said he was working on some new experimental wheels that are offset freestyle-like wheels. So, maybe he switched to narrower trucks for that reason.

They have 3 different manufacturings, 7 ply ones made out of birch which is manufactured in China, 7 ply ones made out of maple made in china also, and the top quality ones also the most expensive ones the flight decks and pro series are made in Santa Barbara California. I have stopped skating Powell Peralta decks because the cheaper made in China ones are not good quality, they lose their pop so soon after a few sessions, and the more expensive ones are unaffordable really, at least to me. That's why I now only skate DLX distribution ( Anti Hero , Real, Krooked) or Baker and Deathwish, which they all are from BBS the same wood workshop based in USA and Mexico. I have skated some Santa Cruz too lately, they are also made in china, but the NHS quality of the 7 ply decks seems to be better than Powell Peralta.
@Mrmannycalvera
@Mrmannycalvera Год назад
Also I must add that most of these Powell Peralta pros are very biased always trying to advertise and promote skate-one products even if they are not that great, like the dragon formula wheels, all the hype for a product that in terms of quality is lower than spitfire. I used to skate bones wheels too, I only skate spitfire now, and once in a while OJ Wheels, but no one can beat spitfire, I am sorry.

Currently my Chinese Dragon Caballero is a wall hanger, but I am considering to shred it again.

@@Mrmannycalvera Little heavy tho, I got standard 159s instead of hollows so all tricks require a little muscle lol. I got Bones 101as for tricks and ricta clouds for cruising, although I will agree Spitfires are the best wheels I've ever skated.
