My heart just stopped. Starting in 1981, I skated w/o a helmet. I was dumb and also lucky I didn't scramble my brains over those next 25 years. Please, my brothers and sisters, wear a helmet like Andy. I want you all to stay healthy and happy.

Andy man, I have been skating his boards for years now and I love it. I can't leave the boards behind. Every time I watch him skate I discover a new level off crazy crazyness, and I love it. The respect that I have for him is like undiscribable.

I finally got the Andy Anderson Heron Deck today!! So stoked. Now I just have to wait to get some Indy trucks and the new Formula X Bones wheels, can't freaking wait!

Just last week in a deep corner at Erie Pump Track, Colorado I fell backwards off the board and the 45º wall slammed into the back of my head. Without my helmet I would still be in the hospital today. Twice a cheap piece of plastic has saved my life so I can keep skating.

I guess he would after you lived in his closet, but wow... I think I know exactly how Deville was feeling in that moment. You really scared the bejeezus out of us, smashing your head on the pavement like that. You're a head banger for real! I slammed hard on a half pipe two years ago and blacked out. Couldn't breathe or move. Had a concussion and had ringing in my ears and double vision for months and couldn't work on my music. Came back from it and still skating. My love affair with skateboarding will never end. You are one gnarly fella Mr. Stay Alive.

I had a fall just like chris' when i was younger. I shattered my orbital socket, and blood was squirting out and i had to get stitchs. Gotta be careful guys!
Andy needs to try the 200' handrail in fullerton across the street from Bootleggers Brewery next to the baseball feild. I wonder if anyone has done it before.
Helmets are a total buzz kill for most skaters who aren't vert riders where helmets are more accepted. Street and park riders have never worn helmets so there is a stigma that is something to the effect of "needs helmet to remove fear" and street riders pride themselves on being gnarly and trying scary things. It's a huge part of street skating culture. Chris is a professional street / park skater. He takes the risks as its part of the job. It's why he's in the position that he's in and we aren't. Skateboarding is mostly a mind over matter thing, once you have physical aptitude. The best skaters are the ones who are fearless. People who break bones and get back on their board and keep riding.

Skateboarding is digressing again. All the tricks are the same now. Boring. Basically a bunch of full grown men just riding ledges is all I see in these vids. Boring.
