My favorite Mr. Andrews quote from Titanic is "I'm sorry I didn't build you a stronger ship, young Rose." Victor did an excellent job of portraying Mr. Andrews' sadness and having felt like he failed the passengers.

Him saying "In an hour all of this will be at the bottom of the Atlantic" with the Grand Staircase as the backdrop is iconic. Any aspiring filmmaker should make a study of James Cameron.

Fran Cisco Same! I’ll watch movies over and over again if I really love them. It is funny though. In Legends. They talk about fixing something with the timeline. And they gave the day and event. Titanic 1912. And I died laughing because Victor’s character was like. “Noooo!” Like. Definitely not. I already went through that once. 😂

@KuroiNeko he apparently wanted it that way so that they couldn't bring back the character and had someone else fill the role! He's done that apparently on other shows as well! He doesn't like when characters are played by more than one actor, unless it's on stage.

Sometimes i wonder how amazingly lucky those actors were to be dressed in those amazing costumes, walking the spectacular sets and being in the most beloved movie on the planet. However, they all seems to try to disassociate themselves from it. Now, i realized that the rest of us are the lucky ones as the spectators.

Anthony Hebisen sometimes when a movie gets so big it’s hard for the actors involved to get away from its legacy, sometimes to the point where their biggest role ruins their careers because they are constantly being associate with that role. So I get when actors get annoyed by talking about a role they did over 20 years ago. But at the same time you can’t choose what you’ll be remembered for, and when a movie becomes a big part of pop culture I think it’s ultimately better to embrace it rather than going the Tim Curry route and try to distance yourself from your most iconic roles

@@Nazaba09 that’s definitely not true . Kate rather talk about current projects . She has stated she hates seeing herself in the film at that age and likens it to making someone watch homemade movies of themselves . She also hates her American accent in the film and said she wish she could have done better. Also, she gets extremely annoyed anytime she goes to a restaurant with a piano player that starts playing “ my heart will go on “ as she enters the dining room. She’ll talk about Titanic If she’s asked, but it’s not because she wants to bring it up. It sucks because I love the film and I’ve been obsessed with Winslet since.

He was criminally underused in Titanic, given that Thomas Andrews was an actual historical figure who designed the ship. Jim Cameron should've given him more screen time... he was very important to the story. More Mr. Andrews, less Jack and Rose!

It was a fictionalized story. Find any of the innumerable documentaries made about the Titanic if you don't wish to see a love story.

James Cameron was smart to tell the story with modern feeling characters. The whole point of the first half of the film is that you get wrapped up with them. It's a new ship with beautiful young people having problems. He almost gets you to forget what is to come. It's hard to convey the loss of 1500 lives a century later. Jack's death allows the average audience member to feel the loss. Also, when you're making the most expensive film yet made a tried-and-true love story is a safety net.

why did they ask him only about titanic as if it were the only famous movie he was on? he is a good actor and has been on many good or famous shows and films. i thought it was a little rude of them to ask him about the only one movie he could barely remember.

Because it's the second highest grossing film of all time?? And it's not that he can 'barely remember being on it' - he talks about it in more depth in other interviews. I don't think many of the cast members got on well with Jim Cameron though, hence why they hesitate when asked about it.
