Overlanding through 'difficult' sociopolitocal times in Peru:
This is our first post of the year. 2023 started very difficult for tourism in Peru and we didn’t find motivation to promote our #overlanding proposal for our beautiful country. However, when we were experiencing only cancelations due to the socio-political conjuncture, a hero appeared directly from #switzerland determined to get deep in #Peru and ready to show the world what is possible. Not even the political turbulence nor the rains and landslides stopped him from his destiny. He was supposed to go south and see what is more popular: Cusco, Machu Picchu… but as it wasn’t possible due to the strikes happening in these areas, he went to explore the north of Peru with all of our support to ensure safety and right decisions. He discovered very unknown roads and destinations, and resulted in pure amazement. The protests have already subsided and everything is calmer, although they have not completely ended, destinations and attractions in the south are already open and eager to receive travelers. However, maybe it’s time for everyone to know more about northern Peru and it’s marvels. The route Lima - Lomas de Lachay - Huanuco - Tingo María - Tarapoto - Chachapoyas - Colan - Mancora - Trujillo - Huaraz - Villa Rica - Pucallpa - Punta Rocas - San Bartolo - Lima is just a general outline of an almost 2 month #roadtrip Andy roamed in Peru. Viajando por tierra a través de tiempos sociopolíticos 'difíciles' en Perú:
Esta es nuestra primera publicación del año. El 2023 empezó muy difícil para el turismo en el Perú y no encontrábamos motivación para promocionar nuestra propuesta de viajar por las carreteras de nuestro hermoso país. Sin embargo, cuando sólo vivíamos cancelaciones por la coyuntura socio-política, apareció un héroe directamente desde #Suiza decidido a meterse de lleno en el Perú y dispuesto a mostrarle al mundo lo que es posible. Ni las turbulencias políticas ni las lluvias y derrumbes lo detuvieron de su destino. Se suponía que iría al sur y vería lo que es más popular: Cusco, Machu Picchu… pero como no fue posible debido a las huelgas que había en estas zonas, se fue a explorar el norte de Perú con todo nuestro apoyo para garantizar la seguridad y decisiones correctas. Ha descubierto caminos y destinos muy desconocidos, y como resultado: puro asombro. Ya las protestas han disminuido y todo está más tranquilo, aunque no han finalizado del todo, ya están destinos y atracciones del sur abiertos y ávidos de recibir viajeros. Sin embargo, tal vez sea hora de que todos conozcan más sobre el norte del Perú y sus maravillas. La ruta Lima - Lomas de Lachay - Huánuco - Tingo María - Tarapoto - Chachapoyas - Colan - Máncora - Trujillo - Huaraz - Villa Rica - Pucallpa - Punta Rocas - San Bartolo - Lima es solo un resumen general de un #viaje por tierra de casi 2 meses que Andy recorrió en Perú.
