Can I just say, I'm glad Andy Grammer is in this world?! I loved this song when I first heard it, as I struggle to love myself & feel so unlovable at times. This video made me love and appreciate the message even more. Thank you Andy for giving us an anthem as we try to love ourselves.

Andy I lost my wife this past year. Suddenly and unexpectedly. I have hated myself since then. I was supposed to go first, it was just sort of something we accepted. And then she was gone, 31 years and now what. I was working my way back and this song, your story helped me incredibly. Thanks Andy!

Ronald, I hear you…. Loss is something we think we have control over! I lost my husband after 40 years! He was suppose to go last too! It just didn’t happen. It has taken me three years to find my happy! Don’t rush grief, everyone deals differently! Trust me you will know when things are getting brighter! Don’t hold back and when you feel happy listen to music that bring that happy dancing feeling in your heart! That is what your wife would have wanted. It will come! Love yourself❤

I can hardly stop crying. I have no words. This song, this lyrics mean a lot to me. I deal with a lack of self-acceptance for most of my life. Every day I fight a war with my thoughts: "You are not smart enough, beautiful enough, strong enough. You are nothing." And I feel that it is getting harder every day. But this song and the rest of Andy's songs ... gives me little hope that things can get better. That I have something to really live for: for myself and only for myself. So thank you Andy for everything you do, even if you don't realize it ❤️

Recently I'm trying to face my life long issue with gender dysphoria and probably same sex attracion and it's way worse now to love or accept myself. It looks impossible right now. I grow up as a christian and I feel very sinful with all these things I don't want to be unacceptable to God and everything is difficult now. This song hits deep.

Hey friend, I'm with you on the gender dysphoria thing! It sucks! I was 34 before I realised *that* was why I had always felt off, why I kept relapsing to depression. Not that transitioning is much easier cus of how trans people generally are viewed in society, but it's ever so slowly getting better. Know that you are valid just as you are, no matter what other people, or books, who don't know all of you say. 💜

I remember finding Andy Grammer years ago with the basic popular songs like Fresh Eyes and Keep Your Head Up. But the thing that roped me in was that they sounded so genuine and meaningful from the man himself. Then I found out, oh, that's just how Andy Grammer is :). This is beautiful. The dialogue is so real, its not easy to talk to yourself and its criticize yourself. This was so relatable.
