Guest Andy Griffith introduces four kids who are attending school in NYC (Paul Grayson, Jane Hurstfield, Jonathan Otis, Michelle Rosner). The panel must try to explain everyday natural phenomena in a way the kids can understand.
I had no idea Andy Griffith used to be a school teacher! I would have loved to have him as a teacher when I was growing up! I bet he made learning a lot of fun.
No wonder when he tells those stories on his show...like Romeo and juliet and the shot heard round the world..I absolutely am glued to the tv..I sit there in complete awe because he had a way of completely drawing you in..man..he was a phenomenal storyteller
Jo swanell - Have you seen the movie, "Angel in my Pocket"? In that one, Andy plays a priest, he's also married and has 3 kids ( including Jodie Foster's brother, Buddy)!
@Arkansas Girl: LOL, I'm descended from the English, I'm Canadian(though, my Dad's parents were English.)Thank-you, so much for what you guessed, as my profession; for almost twenty years, my, LOVED, profession was...radio announcer. I was a disc jockey!
If the kids today were as well rounded as those kids, they would be a tad wiser when casting their eyes into the murky skies. The educational system today has done kids a great disservice - what a charming show...Andy Griffith was a real honey...
I'm not in the "high society" social circle to confirm whether such is true. If so, I would imagine the British royalty speaking in ways that most English speakers have long abandoned.
They sounded as if they were fresh out of finishing school in their delivery, in fact, I was expecting “Mrs. Wiley” at the end. Even if this was well before Earnest T. Bass
@@donnawoodford6641 Have you seen that "I Love Lucy" episode, the one that has Lucy and Ethel go to a charm school? At the beginning , Lucy's having a party and a man shows up later with a new date; she's young and attractive - just graduated from that charm school and she says "How do you do ?" several times over ...
None of them was correct about anything except hair and fingernails are made of the same substance. He was partially correct about that. Oh, and the kid was correct about why the moon comes in different shapes.
His understanding of the moon is a bit off… The Darkside of the moon is not caused by the earth. It’s caused by the sun and the Darkside of the moon itself.. He must’ve skipped biology class in high school.
