Nice video guys. Andy has got to be a great asset to any company with his humour and different delivery style. I’ve seen his video on a river after grayling, please could we have more of that?

Liked the fact Andy didn’t bang on about the company name but instead just told us what he was using. Mixed in with his usual wacky style and it makes great watching. Definitely worth giving the hemp & snails a go. 👍🏻

A little tip i find when the fish are so up in the water like that.. i change my rig and have nothing just a use a premade hook lenght which is about 4 inches and just the loop of the line thought the top of the pole and just only use 4 inches.. no weight no float just the weight of the hook and caster slowly sinking.7 out 10 times they take it stright away and if they dont then you got 4 inches underwater to catch fish its a bit like surface feeding but with no weights and no float...
@middytube
@middytube 6 лет назад
Neil Burke most fisheries have rules on free-lining like that. Especially in match situations.
@MrNeilb37
@MrNeilb37 6 лет назад
ok then make a rig that 4inchs long have a small loop at the top to put it thought your pole top and then have a a very small float like a 2 no4 and put all the weight around the float to lock it into place and 1no2 so the floats stands up then and it would be free- lining and still let the weight or the caster sink or if you floating caster they just lay ontop of the surface..problem solved ...the rig would as light as a feather then the fish wont fell anything untill it to late and you catch more fish so it could be the same a using a very very light waggler with a caster on a pole
@middytube
@middytube 6 лет назад
Or just fish the Jigga if that’s what your trying to achieve. Not understanding why you would want to fish floating casters?

Once again Andy I have to say, I was using snails back in the late 70s we had a local pond, tench could only be caught first light last light, I read a really old book, about natural baits, I used crushed snails as feed up against margin Reed beds and small water snails collected from the same reed beds and caught tench all day, never used hemp couldn't afford it, that was for the posh kids back then 😂.

After fishing for over 50 years--there is an outbreak of getting it wrong ---every expert tells me what bait is best---and they all tell me something different---use groundbait, don't use grounbait ---use chopped worm --use dead reds ---no, casters work best ---yea but you should be laying on ---your hooklength is too long ---you should be using a smaller hook ---kamasan hooks are better than drennan hooks ---no theyr'e not--try a cage feeder---no it scares them --no it doesn't it's like ringing the dinner bell ---your rod needs to be a stronger test curve ---you should be using guru line and not blah blah blah blah fucking blah, it never ends ---fishing has become so far up it's own arse now that it is a scientific conundrum and is in danger of becoming a warzone and not a pleasure/leisure activity---here is my take on fishing ---if they are there I will catch them and furthermore they have no idea how much money you spent on all your tackle---I have tried everything and fish according to what is working at that specific point in time

Hi David, Andy is simply showing his way of doing things at this moment in time, he's not suggesting its the only way of catching and you are right in that there will always be conflicting information. One day can be different from the next too as i'm sure you have experienced. As with all our anglers, no one expects anyone to take their advice as gospel, instead it is hoped that people, especially those who perhaps havent got your experience may be able to take some of their advice onboard or maybe help those who fish the venue they shoot the video on can catch more fish. We also like to think our videos can whet the appetites of anglers to get out there and go fishing more. What people use on the bank and where you fish, is entirely up to the angler after this. Thanks Dynamite

😂😂😂 I get you mate honesty I do, like you I've fished since being a kid, and always to this day on a budget, dreaming of having what Ivan marks uses or andy may 😂, I agree the fish can't see you're rod and reel, it's you're end gear that counts, and if you listen to Andy you WILL improve you're presentation and catch fish when you think they are NOT there 😉
