I watched b99, fell in love with Jake Peralta. Started to watch more things by Andy, fell in love with him in real life. Began to watch his wife’s work and fell in love with her too... don’t regret a thing 😂
I like that you included the part at 7:20 where he declines to talk about Joanna's religious (or not religious) background, because it shows how much he respects her. I know it's a small thing, but that impressed me when I was listening to this podcast.
His adoration of her is so powerfully beautiful! Examples like these are why I have such a deep respect for marriage, and imo such depth of mutual admiration, friendship and respect should be the standards by which anyone warrants such a union. If you don’t feel this way about your partner, don’t tie the knot
I knew of Joanna before I knew Andy, I fell in love with her music and heard about her husband who's a comedian and I wonder who's this lucky guy. Years later I watch Brooklyn 99 and realized the husband's Andy and I was like damn they're both so great and both are so lucky
who else just watched back to back "Andy gushing over Joanna" "Joanna gushing over Andy" escaping in the hopes that they'll find love like this one day?
I'm sorry, is everyone glossing over the fact that a) Joanna bought him a freaking cell animation from Princess Mononoke, but also that that's one of his most prized possessions??? i'm wheezing over here, i love these two so much
Susanna M Listen to Ys, like Andy says her music is unlike anything else (and its the right season!). If you want something more accessible try “have one on me”.
Sometimes Andy crosses my mind and I always wonder, how must it feel to be married to an artist that is so unearthly talented and probably the greatest songwriter alive today _and to know that_, because he's a fan. I'm so glad they have each other.
This made me cry and it's weird bcz I love Andy like crazy, yet him talking about his wife so lovingly oh dear God I want this and I'm not even jealous. It just makes my heart so warm to think of fate bringing these two together. God bless them.
Yo that last woman was kinda rude and obnoxious. Why the fuck did she keep asking about about being Jewish over and over again. Like that's none of her business and it's a fairly personal question. Especially due to the fact that there are people who are anti-semitic and who have hatred towards individuals that are Jewish. I was just really annoyed by her.
You should look into reading some Dr. Wayne Dyer. Gotta lose that negativity. Seriously. The world and all you desire is truly available to you with the right outlook! Stay awesome😊
Andy Samberg is a dreamy daddy. Joanna Newsom is a fucking amazing artist. It's kind of funny when interviewers doesn't know who she is and Andy educate them with her greatness.
The way Andy talks about Joanna is do beautiful. Definitely Joanna has put alot in their relationship, also not to forget Andy must've too. May they be blessed. ❤
the fuck was that last interview bit with the lady asking about jewish last names and such? it seemed so agressive, as if she was trying to start a fight. I've never seen her before so I don't know if that is her 'shtick' or anything, but Andy handled it quite well.
Chelsea Handler is a comedian and as far as I’ve understood plays a character in her talkshows (which has a whole history in itself). It’s supposed to make you cringe, as if she was clueless - and he’s playing along with it. He doesn’t seem offended at all. My own family is part-jewish and i found it really refreshing and funny how they address and speak about these topics, like upbringing, interfaith partnerships and “jewish look” stereotypes.
you know they love each other because they were mutual fans of one another before meeting, and you can't be a fan of either and not fall in love with them.
Conan, my dude, if you're going to have a guest on and talk about his wife you should probably know enough about her to know that part of her claim to fame is her incredible harp playing. Couldn't believe he was surprised to find out that Joanna Newsom plays the harp.
Conan: you're dating a very talented musician Andy: yeah harp and piano Conan: she plays harp?? say you did no research without saying you did no research
@@Thehouseoffail I don't think she's obsessed, just curious. She was asking very common questions asked in interviews about couples with differing religious views.
@@MrIzzieBear I’m glad to find out she’s Jewish, because those kinds of questions coming from a non-Jewish person would *definitely* have been anti-Semitic.
I seriously envy Samberg SO MUCH on the fact that he got to marry an incredible musician that he was already a fan of before even meeting her. Now if I cross my fingers, close my eyes and think REEEEEL hard, I’ll achieve this same dream with St. Vincent 🤣
