In wishing all my youtube viewers a Happy New Year, what better way to celebrate but to recall the songs of Scotland's legendary entertainer, Sir Harry Lauder - 'I Love A Lassie', 'Roamin' In The Gloamin'', and 'Keep Right On To The End Of The Road'. His original recordings date back to the early years of the 20th Century - but Andy Stewart, who had enjoyed international success in the 1960s with hits such as 'A Scottish Soldier', is captured here performing an affectionate tribute to Sir Harry during a 1984 TV appearance.
