@@GreenLightSound it’s refreshing to see someone use Studio One. I’ve been an S1 user for 5 years now, and I think the only downfall has been the high CPU usage. Are you using S1 5? and if so, do you still encounter the CPU issue?

nice technique. Very clear instruction. I think the CLA Epic reverb has options to feed delay into verb all in the same plug in. These techniques are awesome.
@GreenLightSound
@GreenLightSound 3 года назад
Epic can route delay to reverb, and it even has a version of the PCM42 delay and 480L reverb. I don't think it can pan them though.

@calimusic2007
@calimusic2007 3 года назад
@@GreenLightSound ok, so for example, when you’re planning the delay to the left, you’re taking that 100 percent on the right side and bring it over slightly to the left as displayed in your video? (I bring this up as I use pro tools whose stereo display looks different, showing right and left).
@GreenLightSound
@GreenLightSound 3 года назад
@@calimusic2007 In Pro Tools, turn both pan pots to the left the amount you want. It essentially creates a mono delay, even though it's a stereo track.

hello, i have a question, please I already use to send my voice to an LX480 Plate A, so would I have to create another bus just for this technique, and the voice going to 2 reverb buses? Or do I just create a reverb bus? Thanks
@GreenLightSound
@GreenLightSound 3 года назад
You could use the reverb you already have set up, or you could create another buss and use 2 reverbs. It's really up to you and what sound you're going for.

Thank you for great video. Interesting technique. I have 2 questions. What are settings on both delay and reverb? Do you use standard slap back delay with 110-130ms on the delay? And also second question. Do you EQ that delay sent with aggressive HPF (around 500Hz) aggressive LPF as you would normally do with standard delay? Thank you.
@GreenLightSound
@GreenLightSound 3 года назад
The delay was an 8th note delay synched to the session. The reverb was the Jazz Hall setting of the Lexicon 480L. No filtering on the delay, but you certainly could.
@LucasMichalski
@LucasMichalski 3 года назад
@@GreenLightSound that's interesting as with normal slap back delay to create ambience and still have the vocals upfront (as reverb by its nature put things back in the mix) you normally use 110-130ms with delay NOT synthed to the tempo. Is this technique an exception? Thank you for your time
@boobo3763

@boobo3763 2 года назад
@@GreenLightSound Dude, yeah -Just that slight pan really makes a difference! Just sat down and messed with it, now. NEVER would've thought to do that! Your channel is becoming one of my favs, my man! CHEERS!! Also, I did it a little differently because I have no idea how to do the send thing in Reaper, yet (Can't stand REAPER...). What I did was keep my main vocal with all the delay and echo and all those effects panned straight down the middle, and then I added a duplicate vocal track that I smattered with distortion and panned that about 9-10% to the right. That really widened up the vocal and gave the track itself a whole lot more depth. Also put a little bit of chorus on the middle vocal... Can't wait to try it this way, though! REAPER!!!!
