View re-upload: • Anton Perich Presents:... A silent movie with Andy Warhol and Truman Capote signing and selling Interview Magazine at Fiorucci store NYC 1977. With Dupont Twins, Bob Colacello, Victor Hugo...
I did the makeup for the cover of INTERVIEW, Harry King did the hair Barry Mckinley, photographer. Love Debbie Harry! And love Andy and Victor Hugo. Victor left me two paintings of fried eggs. Don't know what happened to them, sorry Victor, nice guy.
I love the way they function, the awarness of each movement and reaction, the silence of the hungry mob, signatures at a price, you want it croud, off course.... I too want it all!!!...jajajaj
This is certainly a surprise! I was working for Fiorucci as a photographer then. It was my first or second job. I'm talking to Joey Arias at 5:34 , but I'm a little more clear at 5:28 5:57-6:00 and 8:17. Later, Paulette Goddard and Brook Shields were both there for a while, and Andy was signing the bellies of some pregnant women.
i think this isn't 77 but june 79 because the interview they are signing is the june 79 issue with debbie harry on the cover and truman had a facelift after 77. the video is great though
Oh, if only it had sound; I'd love to hear the conversations and reactions! What was the deal there, could anyone be a mannequin in the window? Like could a customer walk up & do their thing, or did you have to work there?
@hugh2crawford WOW...HI. I WORKED AT FIORUCCI THEN, AS WELL. I WAS THE UNDERCOVER SECURITY OFFICER. I WORKED WITH MY BUDDY JOEY AND WITH KATHERINE WALLACH. WHAT FABULOUS TIMES WE HAD UP IN THERE. REMEMBER THE CAPPUCINO MACHINE UP FRONT?...LOL...I MET SOOOO MANY CELEBS THERE & GOT PLENTY OF AUTOGRAPHS, AS WELL. AND THE PARTIES WERE TO DIE FOR :)
