What a wonderful program. No one was better than the late Andy Williams (1927 - 2012). His Christmas T.V. programs ran periodically from 1962 through 1993. In all there were 15 specials broadcast plus a couple "best of" specials. Wonderful entertainment.
What a marvelous show...This is so sorely missed today....beautifully timeless...and heart touching. Andy Williams one of the best of the crooners and this show absolutely stands the test......Thank you so much for presenting this fabulous show.....a very special Christmas..indeed. love it...
I sure miss Andy Williams Christmas shows. When they came on, usually 1 week from Christmas, you knew it was close. Such strong family & Christian values molded me as I grew up and have children (4) and grandchildren (15) of my own. Merry Christmas, peace☮ and love ❤ to all.
These christmas shows were very well scripted and choreographed with warmth and humor. Lots of american families probably spent quality time with their young children in snow and backyard playing happily. These are very good shows even today.
Thank you so much for sharing this. I love these ild Christmas Shows they bring back so many childhood memories. As a performer myself I think its so sad that that proper entertainment is not on TV now days.
This tugs at my heart! At the time this aired I was almost 16, not a hippie at all and usually in love with anyone like Bobby Sherman, still the Beatles, and Andy Williams. Canadian Sunset. One brother better look than the next. I thought my future would be like that. Heavy sigh.
I was 8 1/2 years old. The memories were awesome watching with my siblings and my mom and dad. I miss my parents so much, this brought tears to me. I miss my husband he's also in heaven. He watched these also.
I grew up watching Andy Williams in the 1960s, and remember these Christmas specials. At a certain point I found the concept "family get together " a bit too precious, but the sound of Andy's voice in combination with the others was always pleasant and entertaining. His personality, very welcoming and warm, is the central attraction.
Beautiful stuff. It's really something how the world has changed. And obviously not for the better, although a lot of people think it has. I call them lost.
Andy, what a wonderful show that was then and all your other family TV shows you put on. They were wonderful music to sing, dance to, or listen to in our easy chairs. Glad the Williams brothers were on and the harmony, that you folks Were outstanding . We were blasted also that you came from all like, Iowa; so, We are Iowa,, proud. I can imagine all the music you are singing and playing in heaven together again. Thank you to the person who got this together and made it available to us all. Betty Gordon, Iowa
So nice. Anyone know the name of the song they sing when they tuck the two tots into bed (right before "Silent Night")? Thanks. I'm with Nelson Muntz; Andy is the best. ;-D
My enthusiasm for these shows are always tempered by what was happening overseas. 1969 was NOT a happy year, no matter how much producers tried to distract viewers with this type of programming. Still in all, AW was a wonderful singer. One of the best tenors who ever lived.
@@clarkekiss Thank you so much for posting this wonderful Christmas show from 1969, as well as another of Andy's specials airing in 1965. I should point out, however, that the program you posted elsewhere was not Andy's 1965 Christmas show. The 1965 "Andy Williams Christmas Show" aired on December 13 and featured his family and The Osmond Brothers and many Christmas-themed songs (including the famous "Sleigh Ride" number of Andy and his Goodtime Singers riding a sleigh above a small town). The program you posted was a different special, "Christmas Night," airing on December 25, 1965 and featuring Edgar Bergen and Peggy Fleming. There were a couple of seasons in which Andy did both his annual family Christmas show and a separate holiday-on-ice winter special, and the 1965-66 season was one of them.
Greetings, Will you have the following episodes of Season 3 of The Andy Williams Show? Holdings: #3.13 January 25, 1965 #3.17 March 15, 1965 My favorite artist Antonio Carlos Jobim appears, it would be wonderful to see him. I would appreciate it with all my soul, Jobim and Bossa nova is the heritage of Brazil and the world
Hello, I make videos of The Osmonds for my channel, I was wondering if I can use some small clips from the Andy Williams Christmas specials where they appear to edit them with music. My channel is not monetized. Thank you 😊
Your stepfather was right, she absolutely cannot sing. Terrible little whispy voice. She only recorded cause it was a favor for Andy and I can tell you now, those albums never sold. They just made it up that she sold and gad hit records as a favor to Andy cause he was so popular, famous and loved by the public.
