To anybody who's reading this, I pray that whatever is hurting you or whatever you are constantly stressing about gets better. May the dark thoughts, the overthinking, and the doubt exit your mind. May clarity replace confusion. May peace and calmness fill your life. 🙏
To dream the impossible dream To fight the unbeatable foe To bear with unbearable sorrow To run where the brave dare not go To right the unrightable wrong To love pure and chaste from afar To try when your arms are too weary To reach the unreachable star This is my quest, to follow that star No matter how hopeless, no matter how far To fight for the right Without question or pause To be willing to march Into hell for a heavenly cause And I know if I'll only be true To this glorious quest That my heart will lay peaceful and calm When I'm laid to my rest And the world will be better for this That one man scorned and covered with scars Still strove with his last ounce of courage To fight the unbeatable foe To reach the unreachable star
Make no mistake!!! An iconic beautiful song, sang by countless artists over the years. But,no one,no one comes anywhere close to singing it like Andy Williams. The arrangement too is spell binding. His, soft, warm powerful voice is perfect for it. Brilliant, absolutely brilliant
@@serious6037Bear is also an animal, yes. But you are mistaken. "Bare' means naked, etc. here is the other definition of "bear' from the dictionary: verb 1. carry the weight of; support. "the bees form large colonies and need the thick branches of tall trees to bear the weight of their nests"
For all people having a hard time in a life that's not been easy, i hope this music keeps giving the strenght to keep pushing on ( i know it has giving me some). Things will get better and all that effort is going to give results and you will smile and be happy !
I hear you Costa, TARGETED INDIVIDUAL here, (a victim of deep state harassment and directed energy weapon attacks). Targeted and attacked 24/7 all day everyday. Our day will come!
My folks loved Andy Williams music and as a consequence I grew up listening to all his songs. They have a special meaning to me and they are beautiful.
I was watching a film lost letters and a girl was singing it and she had some voice.and thought I would look it up can remember.a advert think cars with Sammy Davis singing.it what a voice he had.r.i.p.sammy
Best version I think even though I'm a Frank Sinatra and Luther Vandross lover. Andy Williams rendition is powerful to make you emotional. My dearly departed Mum and Dad loved this song, and my Dad sang it wonderfully as well. Wish I was able to sing. 🙂
Simple music can make you sing simple hug can make you feel better simple things can make you happy, i hope my simple Hello brings smile to your face ..
Nancy I agree, Luther and Frank do it so well, but I believe there is a comfort in Andy's wonderful voice and tone that especially shines in on this classic.
Fun fact: I've listened to this every morning for nearly two years. Soon I'll have officially contributed 1000 of this video's views :) Edit: No, that doesn't mean a year now has 500 days and nobody told you. It just means I can't count - OR that I listen to it several times a day.
Guess I could’ve joined you in that club, except I was introduced to this song via John Wick 3 trailer in 2019 and used again in a perfect setting in 2021 “Nobody”. Stay safe and healthy to all and be nice to puppies and kitty cat. :-).
This song has always been relevant but it means more now than ever, society has changed and this song to me feels like a message from my grandparents and ancestors before them to never give up on that unreachable star, no matter how hopeless, no matter how far. I was always willing to march into hell for a heavenly cause anyway. Beautiful song.
I was raised on Andy Williams and eventually saw him in the UK when he was 80 - and I was thrilled as an adult to actually be at a concert of my childhook hero. He still had the voice even at 80.
Got this on a musical China bird my nan left when she passed, love this song, she used to play the musical bird to get me to sleep when I stayed at hers as a small child. Love and Light Steve Wild Eagle. ❤☀️🙏🏼🦅
My parents had a wonderful, varied library, an excellent collection of dishes, furniture, and so on. Also, my father had a wonderful, varied collection of music, albums, including an Andy Williams. My father also played and can play the piano very well, and besides being one of the best pediatric surgeons in Tbilisi, Georgia, as well as a doctor, he has other multilateral talents... ...I remember all this from childhood, from my youth in those 70s and 80s of the 20th century...
This has got to be one of the most iconic songs of all time. It's in the 100 best Songs of all time and with the one and only Mr Andy Williams who makes this song iconic and pure class
Song from 1971 had to become a trailer for a famous sequel so the people to listen it and love it. Music is a treasure. Don't reject songs just because they belong in another age. Enjoy !!! P.S. Hard to decide between Frank Sinatra and Andy Williams who sings better this masterpiece.....
@Carol Runham I’ve been married for 32years I was 24 and she was 20. She got cancer in 2020 I was totally lost without her. She took a major hit the treatment was horrible for her. I could not do anything to change the situation so I felt helpless..This song reminds me of her.
Best version by far 💙 .. Those little twinkling stars are special for me they pop up unexpectedly and sparkle so brightly, no worry or jealousy of competition from the others, always there shining their light when we feel weak and lonely, constantly watching over like brave little angels guiding us through the dark.
Andy Williams sang so beautifully- I loved the sone he sang at the end of his show🙏I mean song- May each day in the week be a good day, May the Lord always watch over you….

One of the many many true singers of a certain generation,i grew up listening to these great voices thanks to my mum and dad.Todays so called stars will thankfully vanish in a moment, talentless crap rightly go away.
Je ne connaissais pas ce chanteur et sa voix m’a complètement happée ! Le texte et cette élégance dans l’interprétation ! C’est notre Aznavour français ❤
