Anemone - From Sheltered Kid to Brat - Wings of Fire Analysis 

I like to think that after the events of Arc 2, Anemone has just about fully reverted back to herself from Book 2 now that literally all the fear and pressure is off of her. She deserves to be at peace.

It was so jarring at first going from the anemone we met in book 2 who grow intensive purposes was pretty cool to the one we meet in the second Arc who seemed like a demon child and then I realized that nearly any child who's basically been sheltered and coddled their whole life is going to act out the moment they're away from their parents so it actually makes sense

Anemone is a bit like Arctic. A character who at first seems to have had their personality retconned by the author, but on thurther inspection are actually suprisingly deep characters. Both had an overprotective mother that controled their entire life. Both killed someone they knew by accident and both got deeply affected by it. I really like to see these characters analysed and wilst I disagreed on some points on your analysis of Arctic I agree with all the points made in this video. Subscribed.

Yeah, I feel like Anemone has the realest character development, which I love for her (at the end, I mean) Also no-one *likes* Whirlpool, but thank you for actually acknowledging why he's so terrible-

Anonome is almost that self fulfilling prophecy, just a couple steps before completion. Having finally been let out of the palace, her urge for freedom made her that person she was so scared of becoming, and if Turtle hadn't been there, she would've followed in Albatross' footsteps, continuing the cycle. She's a sweet girl that got her head turned around by power and freedom, and began wanting to become that star pupil again, even if it hurt her in the end. Her character had the potential to be a very tragic one, but she stopped right before the door and realized what she was doing, and was able to take a step back and return.

I like Anemone. She seems a lot nicer in the epilogue of book 10. She just needed freedom from both her mom and her animus magic, as well as some friends. Also, I don't think Whirlpool is a "pepperoni," as its stated he only wanted to marry her to become king, not because of her, but he still sucks a lot.

hopefully your allergies clear up soon! also, you're right when saying that Anemone has had a full character Arc and you can see how she changes, I personally believe that the spell on Auklets harness was one that makes Coral completely forget about her other daughters unless they are right in front of her or the conversation goes onto them, which is kinda sad - also I see you shipping Tamarin and Anemone together, quite an interesting ship in my opinion as I actually don't see much on it so its cool that you vaguely mentioned it!

Anemone's character is so, so detailed and that makes her really interesting. We need an Anemone Appreciation Assembly

I understand why people disliked Anemone but I never really did. I always liked her, even IF she was being bratty. I tend to like characters that people dislike, and dislike characters that people like. The primary reason for that is because I think of them as what they are, a character NOT a person. I know as a fact I would despise Anemone if she were real, but she isn't.

When I read these books in elemetry, I HATED Anemone, but after some very similar experiences, I feel very symethetic for her.

Anenome was my favorite character in book 2, then I read arc 2.

The shading, drawing, analysis... I just can't. It's just SO. GOOD.

When Darkstalker snapped at Anenome, i had to swallow how crushed her feelings were. Yes, she's a bratty princess, but she's so impressionable even up to encountering Turtle the talons of power grounds. She would have defected completely, but her big brother showed empathy as an animus, something Darkstalker could not to better process her mixed emotions. That stick pass really shows how their bond shifts Anenome to a better path Also Whirlpool's knife for Anenome. He's even worse than we thought

I had a worse comprehension of these books than I thought. This video seems so insightful!

I think for 7k you should do like a drawing challenge thing, but not about how GOOD you are at drawing but more about the colours, the patterns, the design! like that sort of stuff (You can say what the winner will get)

I really like this video and I love your points I really do relate to her finding out that she was enchanted by your brother being literally chained to your mother and your magic bringing apart of you seems like a though life I mean her being brat was very sudden in arc 2 like she couldn’t be free honestly and have her own freedom I mean carol sent pike to watch her honestly I think the fight scene made me feel more bad cause she found out she wasn’t a real animus and her and her bother fight and than finally hug it out and than try to fight dark stalker I thought the part when she thought she was evil was sad and thinks she’s gonna be evil because of her magic she’s been through a lot and she’s becoming better she felt bad after when she hit moon with a mop I thinks she felt bad for casting a spell kinkajou these actions weren’t right but on the wiki I think she said she apologized she’s trying to become a better dragon which is good and I really love her character and her arc! i dont trust people who hate anemone. having being raised overly protected and confined often, as well as somewhat spoiled due to being an only child, and after getting out of that household and becoming more outgoing, meeting someone who doesnt like anemone sets a switch off in me.

I'm pretty neutral on Anemone. I thought she was pretty good in Book 2, I didn't really care for her attitude in the second arc, but mostly I'm confused at the sudden attention the narrative gives her in Book 10. Like, it made sense to have her be a secondary antagonist in Book 9, but in DoD she randomly showes up halfway through the book to be the guide back to The Old Nightwing Kingdom and just kinda sticks around after that. Her involvement kinda makes Turtle's presence feel redundant, and her redemption feels given more attention than half of the Jade Winglet's arcs. Overall it kinda comes across like it was another of Tui's last minute additions to an already pretty clutterd finale and takes away focus that probably could have been better used elsewhere. Also is it just me, or did her relationship with Tamarin seem like it came out of left field?
