An aneurysm is a localized, abnormal, permanent dilation of a blood vessel, typically an artery, or the heart, that may be congenital or acquired. Aneurysms can occur anywhere in the body. But more common in the aorta; Iliac, & femoral arteries; Popliteal artery; And Cerebral arteries, especially in the circle of Willis. In addition, Splenic, renal, and mesenteric arteries are also affected.
So, in this video I discuss about different types of aneurysms, their causes & pathogenesis, and a bit about some clinical correlations. Here, I discuss about Abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA), Thoracic aortic aneurysms, Berry aneurysms & Charcot Bouchard aneurysms as well.
