He isn't overated. He took a team who lost their best striker in a generation and still managed to finish 5th last season. Tottenham have improved more in these first 3 matches this season, too. If they had Solanke or Richarlison fit and fully firing, it would have been a cricket score vs Newcastle and Leicester. People like to hate on Spurs.if the board and fans have any patience, this guy will bring success, and im sure a trophy or two.

Sonny always says in every interview that the team's victory is more important than his own record, but that kind of play results in not being able to beat even a team like Leicester. Barnes was more talented than Salah, but then there haven't been many players in history who have Barnes's talent. Salah has worked harder and has maintained his prime form for longer (Barnes was truly great for about 6 years; Salah's been at the level for 8 and is still going).
You get less time on the ball now than before. Salah is better than Barnes by a mile. Stop asking Nickle man those questions. He will always choose his teammates over current players.
You are right that players these days have less time on the ball than previous generation's, but I wouldn't conclude Salah is better than Barnes. I remembered the season which Liverpool last won the title, before Klopp's 2019 team won it, Barnes's form was devastating. He almost single handledly won the title for Liverpool. At Barnes peak, he was the best player on the planet, but alas Liverpool wasn't in Euro competition because of the ban. It is tough to compare 2 players of different generations. We shall leave it as such.
Anybody who thinks Salah is better than Barnes has either never seen a peak John Barnes in action, and/or they know nothing about football. John Barnes had a level of finesse and ball control that only a handful of players have had. He produced those things at a time when opposition players could kick lumps out of you, and also at a time when many, if not most pitches were akin to a ploughed field.

I didnt think much of him until i saw how he addresses his players at half time and when he is frustrated he gets his point across so well without berating the players. He is a brilliant tactical manager and has the best defence in the league when Arsenal were nowhere. If you think that then he is clearly the most underrated manager but i dont think many share your thoughts on that, especially if they had looked into what he does in the changerooms. ETH is by far the most overrated although i think many dont rate him in the first place

Ange sticking to his style is correct. Wait for the current players to improve and/or recruit new players who can play his system. After current style is settled, you can tweak here and there. If he tweaks game by game, you will be left with a ETH team. Board hasnt given him the players to challenge for the tile anyway, so just stick to the principles and improve the players until next window.
Since starting off the Premier League last season with 26 points from 30, Spurs have taken only 44 points from their last 93 possible points. The reality is Big Ange is increasingly living off the first two months from last season. And to make that points total even worse, Ten Hag at United has won 48 points in that same time period. Spurs have been mediocre to poor since last October and Big Ange needs to turn it around.

spurs under ange gotta score goals in the 1st half to win, but that is usually not the case, players after the 70th fatigued and prone to be scored against. high intensity & pressing is fun to watch, but a league like epl is hard to sustain this tactics if the team is not stacked.
He's not the best or the worst. Personally, I think he's doing a great job at Spurs. Yeah, his tactics are a bit one-dimensional, but he knows how he wants to play.

Exactly - and to be a real contender your defense cannot give more than 35 goals a season. He has to show this season that his system of play can achieve that. If in the second half of the season the Spurs give up more than 20 goals, he has to adjust or leave.
